Lucas went straight up to the third floor. At a street-facing table sat an elderly monk, his eyes were closed, and he was softly murmuring some prayer, one hand upright at his chest.
This was David, the head of the Ancient Lingster Sanctum.
As Lucas reached the top of the stairs, David happened to open his eyes, his face wearing a smile.
