At the city gates, Rin and the others gathered to see them off.
“Nina, you must be extremely careful on your journey to the Serpent City. Grandfather wishes you the absolute best,” Rin said.
The Serpent City was too far away. He had to stay behind and take care of his own female master, so he couldn’t go with them to help. She had only him as her beast husband, and even though the city had plenty of servants and guards, he still couldn’t bring himself to leave her here alone.
“Mm, thank you, Grandfather Rin,” Nina replied.
Yuna took Nina’s hand, reluctant to say goodbye. “Nina, I’ve heard that that city is a very dangerous place. You must be careful. Once your business is done, please come back here to visit me whenever you have time p>
“I will. You take good care of yourself, too,” Nina said.
“Mm.” Yuna gave Nina a warm hug.
Maya and the other females stepped forward as well.
“We feel the same way. We look forward to your next visit to our city p>
“Have a safe journey, Lady Nina p>
“Thank you, everyone. I will definitely come back to visit as soon as I have the chance,” Nina said with a bright smile.
Once the females had spoken their piece, Yian walked over to say his goodbyes. “Nina, your Uncle can’t go with you either, so I’m sending this brat of mine in my place. If there’s anything you need, don’t hesitate to put him to work p>
He turned a sharp glare toward Setan. “Did you hear me? Make sure you work hard and help Nina p>
Setan took Nina’s hand. “I know p>
He would do that even without being told.
Yian raised an eyebrow, thinking the brat had actually made some progress.
Feeling a bit guilty, he pointed toward the crowd behind them and said to Nina, “Although I can’t go myself, I’ve selected a group of our strongest males to assist you. From now on, they are your subordinates p>
Nina followed his gaze and saw a group of exceptionally handsome, incredibly well-built males.
The moment they noticed her looking their way, they scrambled to strike their best angles and began batting their eyelashes at her. They were already ecstatic at the thought of becoming Nina’s males.
Lord Yian and the old city lord had already briefed them—their primary goal was to become Nina’s paramours, and if given the chance, they should strive for a spot as her beast husband.
As they gazed at Nina, their eyes were filled with pure adoration. Lady Nina was so beautiful and powerful; they felt incredibly lucky to have been chosen.
Nina covered her mouth to hide a smile. Are these supposed to be regular subordinates?
Meanwhile, the beast husbands’ faces turned completely green when they saw the flamboyant group of males shamelessly flirting with her.
This wasn’t a gift of subordinates; this was clearly a delivery of little foxes sent specifically to seduce their woman. These damn lions were truly infuriating.
Setan’s face was as black as coal. His grandfather and father had actually gone through with sending Nina more males. He glared furiously at Rin and Yian, who both looked away guiltily.
They were just covering all bases, after all!
Nina turned back around and cleared her throat. “Thank you, Uncle p>
Yian waved his hand dismissively. “You’re very welcome, you’re very welcome p>
In truth, he wished he could have sent even more.
With the farewells out of the way, Aviel transformed into a massive dragon. Odian scooped up Nina and the cubs, carrying them onto the dragon’s head.
Nina waved to Rin and the others. “I’m leaving now. Goodbye, everyone p>
“Safe travels, Nina p>
Rin and the rest waved back.
Nina patted Aviel, and the dragon immediately soared into the sky, heading toward the Serpent City. Odian and the others followed close behind.
Rin and the others watched until their silhouettes completely vanished into the distance before turning back to the city.
Along the journey, the males from the Blazing Flame City were overwhelmingly enthusiastic toward Nina.
For instance, whenever they stopped to rest, they were the first to lay down comfortable cushions for her, before immediately beginning to pose and show off their physiques around her.
And at mealtimes, they would crowd around her, eager to serve her food.

The beast husbands, who had been shoved to the side, ground their teeth in frustration.
They threw resentful glares at Setan before forcefully kicking the pestering males out of the way.

They glared sharply at the sprawling, knocked-over males. If you dare take another step toward Nina, we’ll break your legs.
The males from the Blazing Flame City rubbed their bruised rears, looking utterly defiant. They weren’t afraid.
Setan felt completely helpless and annoyed; he was practically dying of frustration because of his grandfather and father.
Odian called Ridan over. “From now on, leave all the hunting to them. Give them the dirtiest, most exhausting chores, and make absolutely sure they don’t have a single moment of free time p>
He wanted to see how much time they’d have left to seduce Nina then.

Receiving his orders, RIdan immediately began ordering the males around. Not daring to refuse, they went off to work with sullen, reluctant expressions.
But it didn’t matter—the days ahead were long, and they were bound to find an opportunity sooner or later.
Eventually, the group arrived back at the spot where Odian had previously set up a teleportation array, ready to wait while he constructed a new one. They set up camp at the original location.
With nothing much to do, Nina took the cubs outside the cave to play.
While playing, Didi suddenly leaped into her arms.
Nina stroked his fur gently. “What’s wrong, Didi? Why did you stop playing p>
The cub raised his little head: Mother, I’m hot.
The moment the thought registered, a chubby human baby suddenly appeared in her arms.
Nina was overjoyed. “Oh! Didi transformed too p>
She turned to Finch. “Finch, clothes p>
Finch hurriedly brought out the little clothes he had prepared for the second cub. Having learned from Kith’s previous transformation, the other beast husbands had all prepared outfits for the cubs well in advance.
However, Didi pushed the clothes away in disgust. “Don’t want. Want… want Mother’s p>
Nina burst out laughing. She browsed through the system and picked out a few sets of adorable little clothes for him.
Didi put them on, thoroughly satisfied.
Finch huffed in annoyance. The little brat actually rejected me? Fine, have it your way, don’t ever wear the clothes I make you again.
Nina placed the cub on the ground to let him get used to walking in human form. It didn’t take long before he was toddling around on his short legs, playing with his brothers.
Yinny also shifted into his human form to keep him company; since he had been the only one able to transform before, he had mostly stayed in his beast form.
Nina leaned against Sal’s shoulder, a bright smile on her face as she watched the cubs play.
By noon, Nina and the cubs were taking a midday nap inside the cave when Setan quietly slipped inside.
