White tensed, ready to strike, but Evan gently pushed its head back into his pocket.
Perhaps it was the knowledge that he had White as his ace, or maybe it was the connection to his master that made him believe this assailant wouldn’t truly harm him.
So, Evan wasn’t scared.
Even with hands around his neck, he didn’t panic; instead, he furrowed his brows and glared defiantly at the shadow towering over him.
The shadow peered down at Evan with an inscrutable expression, leaving Evan guessing his thoughts.
After a moment, the grip on Evan’s throat was released.
“Tell me where he is, and I’ll let you take a look down the well, deal p>
Evan coughed, rubbing his neck,
“I was gonna check it out regardless! If you wanna know about my master, answer my questions first. Who are you? What’s your connection to my master? Got beef with him? Why were you at Sage Hall? And what do you want with my master p>
