“I’m not going to start a fight; I just want to talk to him calmly,” Elysia reassured.
“Alright then, but keep your phone on. Call me immediately if anything happens. And remember, if the talk goes south, just come back. Don’t try to stand your ground against him alone. Safety first. If things really go sideways, we’ll come up with a new plan together p>

After making up an excuse to tell the kids, Elysia left the hospital.
She hadn’t mentioned the divorce to the children, feeling it was an adult matter and not wanting to worry them.
