Scarlett’s POV
​I stepped out into the hallway, my bare feet hitting the cold tiled floor. The heavy scent of angry Alpha pheromones hit me instantly, thick enough to choke a normal human. Just a few meters down the hall, the three most powerful werewolves in the pack were practically tearing each other apart.
​But the exact moment they felt my presence, the entire hallway went dead silent.
​I walked right into the middle of the mess, stopping a few feet away from them.
​The three of them froze completely. Liam had his fist raised, ready to slam it into Leonard’s jaw, while Leo had his hand wrapped tightly around Liam’s collar. They instantly dropped their hands, their massive shoulders shrinking back just a bit. They stood there, breathing heavily, looking exactly like little boys caught doing something bad by their mother.
​I folded my arms across my chest, my brow furrowed as I stared them down with a cold, hard look.
​”What happened?” I asked, my voice flat and sharp.
​None of them bothered to say a thing. They just looked at the floor, at the walls, anywhere but at me. The silence stretched between us, heavy and tense, as I waited for one of them to speak up.
​”Is that how it is going to be?” I asked, my frown deepening. “You three are just going to stand here and tear each other apart?”
​Liam was the first one to break the silence. He wiped a drop of blood from his lip, his dark eyes snapping up to look at his brothers with pure rage. “They deceived me, Scarlett,” he spoke, his voice deep and shaking with anger. “You were their mate too, and they said nothing to me for years. They kept the truth hidden.”
​Leo let out a harsh, bitter laugh, stepping forward with his fists still clenched. “Oh, please, Liam. Stop acting like a saint! You also deceived us! You kept your own secrets about her. Don’t act like you are completely innocent here.”
​Within seconds, the hallway exploded back into chaos. They started shouting over each other, their deep Alpha voices roaring and shaking the very walls of the mansion. The brotherhood and bond they used to have felt completely broken, replaced by years of built-up lies and jealousy.
​”Enough!” a loud, booming voice echoed from the end of the hall.
​We all turned our heads to see their parents walking quickly toward us. Sir Lennox, Sir Levi, Sir Louis, and Ma’am Olivia all looked deeply troubled, their faces pale as they walked right into the middle of the mess.
​Sir Lennox stepped between his sons, his face hard. “What is going on here?” he demanded, looking at the bruised faces of the triplets.
​Leonard let out a loud, angry breath, his chest heaving. He looked directly at his father, his eyes glowing with his inner wolf. “What is going on here is that Scarlett is our mate. She is our fucking mate, Father. And my brothers kept her away from me for years.”
​The hallway went completely silent. The shock on the parents’ faces was instant.
​Ma’am Olivia was the first to speak, her voice trembling as she shook her head. “No… that was in the past, Leonard. You men have new mates now. Your wives. You have built lives with them.”
​Liam scoffed loudly at his mother’s words, his expression full of disgust. “What wives? Scarlett is still our mate.”
​Sir Levi stepped forward, his eyes wide with utter confusion and disbelief. “What? How is that even possible? You three are legally married, and you marked your wives! We all saw it.”
​Leonard let out a dark, mocking laugh. He looked at his father with a cold, unbothered stare. “It’s fake, Father. Those marks are completely fake. We never touched them. We played you all from the very beginning.”
​The words hit the room like a physical blow.
​Ma’am Olivia gasped, her face draining of all color. Her knees completely buckled beneath her, and she fell to the ground, her hands trembling. Sir Lennox quickly knelt down to grab her, but she just stared blankly into space, her eyes filled with pure terror.
​”So the prophecy is still on…” she whispered, her voice cracking as tears filled her eyes. “No wonder my visions never stopped… No wonder the danger is still here.”
​Sir Levi and Sir Louis both stepped back, their faces twisted in deep shock and total anger. They looked at the triplets as if they were looking at complete strangers.
​”You played us?” Sir Levi roared, his voice angrily low, his Alpha aura flaring up in pure fury. “Do you have any idea what you have done? You brought three high-ranking women into this pack, held a grand ceremony, and announced to the entire werewolf world that the future of the Full Moon Pack was secure! And it was all a lie?”
​”We did what we had to do to keep everyone off our backs,” Leo snapped back, completely defensive. He didn’t look remorseful at all. “You were forcing us to move on. You were forcing us to accept a reality we didn’t want. Scarlett is our fated mate. We were never going to touch anyone else.”
​Every single word coming out of Leo’s mouth felt like a fresh slap to my face. We never touched anyone else.
​The absolute lie of it all made me want to laugh out loud, but the lump of betrayal in my throat kept me silent. They truly believed their own lies. They had no idea that their wives were currently carrying their bloodlines. They were so blinded by their obsession with me and their hatred for each other that they hadn’t even smelled the changes in their own women yet. An Alpha is supposed to feel the presence of their pups. It was strange they haven’t yet.
​Sir Lennox ignored his sons entirely, keeping his arms tightly wrapped around Ma’am Olivia as she sat trembling on the tiled floor. He looked up at the triplets, his eyes hard and full of deep disappointment.
​”You fools,” Sir Lennox muttered, his voice shaking with a mix of anger and dread. “You think you were being clever? You think you outsmarted the Moon Goddess? Olivia has been losing her mind for five years, tormented by bloody visions of a curse that we thought was broken. She has been living in absolute terror, and it’s all because of your childish games.”
​Ma’am Olivia clutched at her husband’s shirt, her eyes wild as she looked up at me. “Scarlett…” she choked out, her voice filled with a desperate, heartbreaking panic. “If the bond is still active… if they never marked those girls… then the prophecy is still fully set in motion. The three Alphas will tear the pack apart for the one fated female. The blood… oh Goddess, the blood from my visions… it’s going to happen.”
​”It won’t happen,” Liam stated firmly, taking a step toward his mother, though his dark eyes quickly flicked over to me. “We can fix this. Scarlett is back now.”
​”Fix it?” Sir Louis finally spoke up, his voice cracking with disbelief. “How do you intend to fix a fake mark and a fated bond with three separate Alphas, Liam? Look at yourselves! You were just trying to kill each other over her right now! The prophecy is already happening, and you are too blind to see it!”
​The triplets shifted uncomfortably, but none of them backed down. Their inner wolves were pacing tightly beneath their skin, ready to fight anyone—including their own parents—to claim their spot.
​I took a slow, deep breath, finally breaking my silence. All eyes instantly snapped to me, the hallway falling into a breathless quiet as everyone waited to hear what the fated female would say.
​I looked at Liam, Leonard, and Leo, my face completely expressionless, my heart locked away in a dark, cold place.
​”Don’t bring my name into your mess,” I said, my voice incredibly calm, yet sharp enough to make them understand my anger. “Your fake marriages, your lies, and your family drama have absolutely nothing to do with me. I didn’t ask to come back, and I certainly don’t plan on staying.”
​”Scarlett, please—” Leo started, taking a step toward me, his hand reaching out.
​”Don’t touch me, Leo,” I warned, stepping back into the doorway of my room. I looked at the three of them, feeling a mixture of pity and deep disgust. “You three need to grow up and face the reality of the choices you’ve made over the last five years. Because trust me… the past isn’t the only thing you’ve lied about.”
​Without waiting for their responses, and before their parents could say another word, I stepped back into my room and slammed the door shut once again. Let them fight. Let them uncover the truth about their pregnant wives on their own. I was officially done wasting my tears on liars.
