It had only been two years, but it somehow felt like a lifetime had passed, with everything entirely changed.
Truth be told, after that competition, even though Mira had taken first place, the girls who placed behind her hadn’t been fully convinced.
After the event, Sienna and the others had secretly pep-talked themselves: despite her being number one now, if they worked hard enough, they could definitely surpass her.
Who could predict the ups and downs of the entertainment industry, after all?
But they never expected Mira to start running businesses while still in school. Her incredible artistic talent turned out to be nothing more than a casual hobby!

“It was out of necessity, really. After I cut ties with my family, if I hadn’t grown quickly,

The two girls immediately thought of Mara Mercer. Being from the same hometown, they naturally knew the whole saga.
Mira truly had been forced into a corner.
“But people like us… even if we were pushed to the brink, we couldn’t become big bosses p>
“Everyone has their own path. Every industry has its stars, so there’s no point in comparing different fields p>
Mira reassured them. She couldn’t exactly say she was simply better than them.
“You two are already incredibly talented. Think of how many people wish they had your skills. Don’t sell yourselves short.
Back then, I actually thought you’d debut right away. I didn’t expect you to choose to continue your studies p>
Mira noted.
“At the time, we could have used the momentum from placing high in the competition to debut immediately.
But our parents told us that without a solid foundation, we’d never fly high.
So, we chose to attend the arts academy and take on gigs in our spare time p>
Sienna explained, glancing at Hannah beside her. “Her situation is pretty similar to mine p>
Hannah chimed in, “Yeah, and facts have proven us right. Naomi Clarke debuted right away, but look at her now p>
Naomi was the girl who had taken second place in that talent showcase, right behind Mira. Het raw talent was actually greater than Sienna’s and Hannah’s, which was why she ranked ahead of them.

Mira asked, her curiosity piqued.
Naomi was around the same age as Mira, in her prime years for learning and building a foundation. What could have happened to her? She couldn’t possibly be facing assassinations like Mira, right?
Putting out a hit on someone required a massive price. Unless t affected a major power struggle, or the person hiring the hit was a lunatic with too much money and zero sense-
Who would go to such lengths to hire killers?
Or perhaps, had Naomi been foolish enough to commit a crime?
The more Mira guessed, the more unsettled she felt.
Hannah seemed to read Mira’s confusion. “She debuted right after that arts festival.
She sang, acted in TV shows, and rode the wave of being a fresh face. She was actually pretty popular for a hot minute.
We were quite envious back then, even doubting if we made the wrong choice by going to college.
But Naomi’s fame only lasted six months. After that, without any real backing, she was suppressed by the industry veterans.
Now, she’s completely vanished, totally off the radar p>
