Chapter 414
Chapter 414:
Hearing Wesley’s distant tone, Gabriela felt the words she wanted to say die in her throat.
She drew in a slow breath. The memory of what he’d said to her at the café still burned, and her mood sank.
Sensing the tension between them, Loretta stepped in quickly. “It’s my fault this time. If I hadn’t gone to Tessa’s house without asking, she wouldn’t have gotten into that fight with her family p>
Miriam sighed. “It was my fault too p>
The memory of Loretta standing her ground in that living room still amazed her. Watching her, Miriam quietly decided that learning a few of Loretta’s methods might not be a bad idea.
Dealing with the two of them — who apologized quickly and yet never stopped causing trouble — was enough to give Wesley a headache.
He was about to question them further when Raven suddenly marched down the hallway again, dragging her daughter Sigrid behind her. Both women were radiating hostility.
They tried to force their way into the hospital room, but Billy blocked the doorway.
Raven glared at him with open hatred. “Who are you? Why are you guarding Tessa? Are you her lover? I knew that tramp had gotten bold — barely coming home, refusing to hand over her salary. Now it all makes sense p>

Sigrid sneered, her eyes flashing. “How can Tessa be so shameless? She’s cheating on the man who saved her p>
Billy — an executive who spent his days dealing with clean, educated, civilized people — was completely stunned by the level of filth coming out of their mouths. For a moment, he didn’t even know what to say.
“Please watch your words,” he finally managed.
Raven set her hands on her hips and snapped, “You bastard, you deserve a beating for messing around with a married woman p>
Sigrid laughed coldly. “Exactly. You’re just like Tessa — no shame at all p>
Billy, who had never in his life dealt with women this crude, was completely caught off guard.
Seeing him speechless, Raven only grew bolder. She shouted toward the hospital room, “Tessa, get out here! If my son hadn’t saved you back then, he wouldn’t be walking around with a crippled leg. How can you still be ungrateful p>
Sigrid added, “Tessa, my brother saved your life. You should devote yourself to him. And you actually had him jailed just because he hit you? That’s vicious p>
Loretta immediately stepped forward to block them.
But Gabriela, already burning with anger, moved first. She rolled up her sleeves and strode forward.
“Can’t you shut your fucking mouths?” Gabriela snapped.
At the sight of her, Raven’s face twisted. She still remembered how Gabriela had kicked Fulton’s groin and she lunged toward her in rage.
Gabriela pointed straight at Sigrid. “You’re a divorced, middle-aged woman living off your parents. You need to shut up and know your place. Look at yourself — wrinkled, screeching, and useless. You’re pathetic p>
She had wanted to say all of this the first time she went to Tessa’s house. Now there was nothing holding her back. Her words were fast, sharp, and merciless. Raven and Sigrid both froze, stunned into silence.
