After three days of rest, Gabriela’s arm had healed enough for her to return to work.

A delay wouldn’t kill them financially — but it would damage Haynes Group’s reputation. Other companies would start doubting their ability to deliver results.
Determined not to let that happen, Gabriela grabbed the revised proposal and rushed to the Vista Hotel to find Addie.
At that same time, Fiona was sprawled out at home.
“Dad, I’m not going to any business meetings,” she said flatly.
Her father, Hanley Dewitt, let out a sigh. “Why are you avoiding these meetings p>
Fiona scoffed. “We’re rich. You, Grandpa, and my brother run the company. Why do I need to know anything about management p>
Her logic nearly made Hanley lose his temper. “Skip this, and I’ll freeze your card p>
Relying on her grandfather’s favor, Fiona shot back, “Go ahead p>
Hanley knew his daughter’s temperament well. If he pushed too hard, she’d only dig in further.
With no other option, he said evenly, “The business meeting isn’t the important part. I need you for something else p>
Securing the GD contract was not Hanley’s main goal. What he truly wanted was to build a relationship with the Howard family’s young head.

Hanley explained, “We’re meeting GD’s representative today. Once we close the deal, a rival is going to try to take it from us. When she does, I want you to outshine her p>

Her mood had gotten even worse after thinking she might have spotted Wesley downstairs — with some attractive woman holding his hand. How dare that woman hold his hand.
Fuming and distracted, Fiona just wanted to wrap this meeting up and confirm whether Wesley was really here.

Addie’s expression immediately stiffened.
