Tarquin replied in flawless local tongue.
“We work for Warrick, from the Crimson Birds. This is our boss. He was injured by Eagle’s accomplices and needs immediate medicat attention p>
Hearing Tarquin speak the local dialect so fluently left Rizzo in absolute shock.
God, why did he speak the dialect? He wasn’t from around here, nor had he ever lived here!

Of course, Rizzo didn’t know that
from the moment Tarquin
discovered Axel’s enemies were
the Shan Territories he had begun mastering the language.
