Chapter 169
Aria’s POV
Aiden’s passion almost made me collapse. I couldn’t control myself, and under his intense assault, tears kept flowing down uncontrollably.
“Aiden… stop I begged through my tears, my hands weakly pressing against his chest. My body betrayed my rationality, trembling and responding to his every deep thrust.
But he didn’t listen to me. On the contrary, my tears seemed to excite him even
more.
His eyes grew darker, his movements more forceful, his fingers digging into my thighs with enough force to possibly leave bruises.
“You crying like this only makes me want you more,” he whispered in my ear, his voice unrecognizably hoarse.
My back was pressed against the cold tiles, my legs wrapped tightly around his waist, each impact making me feel both pain and pleasure. The sensation was indescribable—like being torn apart yet filled, like being in heaven yet in hell.
I completely lost control, only able to endure everything he gave me, sobbing as I accepted his madness.
Finally, after one particularly deep thrust, Aiden tensed his body, let out a low growl, and released inside me. His forehead pressed against mine, our breaths intertwining, hot and rapid.
After a moment, he gently set me down. My legs were so weak I couldn’t stand at all, only able to rely on his support.
“Are you okay?” His voice regained some rationality, his hand gently stroking my hair.
I nodded without speaking. He picked me up, carried me out of the bathroom, gently placed me on the bed, then helped dry my body with surprisingly tender movements.
“I still have some work to handle,” he kissed my forehead, “rest well p>
After he left the room, I lay on the bed, the afterglow in my body still not dissipated. I closed my eyes, recalling everything that had just happened in the bathroom- Aiden’s touch, his scent, his strength, and that feeling of being completely possessed.
God, my body was still responding to these memories. I felt a wave of heat surge toward my lower abdomen, which made me somewhat ashamed, but more excited.
I turned over and sat up, confirming that Aiden had really left, then quickly got up and locked the door. Picking up my phone, I immediately found Lillian’s chat. “Honey, come online quickly!” I sent messages urgently.
A few seconds later, Lillian replied: “What’s wrong? Why are you so jumpy tonight? Getting this excited from just horseback riding p>
I touched my burning cheeks. She didn’t know what I had just experienced. “I almost exposed myself just now! Good thing I was clever and made up a friend!” I didn’t tell her about the crazy lovemaking Aiden and I had just had in the bathroom, only keeping the part about our conversation in the car.
“Exposed what?” Lillian always caught the key points.
I organized my words for a while, trying to tell her concisely: Don’t you think what Aiden said was a bit strange p>
“Don’t you think he was hinting at you?” Lillian immediately replied.
I frowned: “Hinting at what? I didn’t expose myself! I mean he seemed to think my pursuit of Liam was foolish p>
After typing this, I suddenly felt somewhat ashamed: “Actually, thinking about it, I also think I was foolish p>
Lillian was silent for a while before replying: What you’re saying makes sense p>
Then she sent another message: “Haven’t you noticed that Carter keeps hinting at you p>
I looked at my phone in confusion: “Hinting at what? I said it was my friend, he couldn’t possibly think my friend is me, right p>
“It’s not impossible, Carter always doesn’t seem that stupid p>
Being told this by Lillian, I was completely confused: “You mean he saw that I like
him, then told me to confess so he could reject me p>
“Why don’t you think he wants to confirm your feelings p>
I blinked: “Why would he want to confirm my feelings p>
“Nothing, maybe I’m overthinking.” Lillian seemed to give up somewhat.
Although I was sometimes slow, I wasn’t really stupid: “You mean Aiden likes me p>
“Haven’t you felt it p>
I felt incredulous: “Is it possible you’re wrong? Why would he like me p>
“I don’t dare.” I immediately replied.
I touched my rapidly beating heart and reread the chat records between Lillian and
me again. Even if I was slow, I could see what Lillian was hinting at.
But how was it possible? How could Aiden possibly like me?
This question kept me awake all night.
The next morning, I sat at the dining table with two dark circles under my eyes, not daring to lift my head, eating breakfast in small bites.
Actually, if I had some courage, asking Aiden at this time, he should give me an answer. Whether he liked me or not, at least there would be certainty.
But I just didn’t dare. I was afraid of getting a bad answer.
From that day on, I didn’t even dare look at Aiden much, afraid he would discover my secret little thoughts.
When I retreated, naturally someone else advanced.
When I saw Diana and Aiden walking into the restaurant together, I felt like I’d been hit over the head. The spoon in my hand clattered onto the table, drawing looks from people around us.
After Lillian finished replying to work messages, she looked up to see my slightly red eyes and aggrieved expression, immediately asking with concern: “Aria p>
I took a deep breath, trying to stay calm: “Nothing, are you going back to the company later p>
“What’s wrong with you? Did something happen?” She clearly didn’t believe my
excuse.
“Nothing’s wrong, what do you mean?” I forced myself to stay calm.
Lillian pressed her lips together: “Aria, you know what? You can’t lie, and you can’t get away with lying p>
I certainly knew I couldn’t lie, but in public, if I really couldn’t help crying, that would be too embarrassing.
Recently I’d been constantly
wondering if Aiden knew I liked him,
whether he would hate me. I wanted
to know the answer, yet was afraid to know And those eyes of his it. seemed to see through people’s hearts, so I could only try to avoid him as much as possible?
When I saw his message this afternoon saying he wouldn’t be home for dinner, I actually felt relieved. I never expected to encounter him dining with Elena here.
Actually it was nothing, wasn’t it? But I just felt inexplicably aggrieved.
“Did Aiden say something to you?” Lillian asked.
I shook my head, biting my lower lip: “I just saw Aiden p>
“Why are you so aggrieved about seeing him p>
“He came in with Elena p>
Lillian was silent for a moment: “So you’re jealous p>
“Can’t I be?” After saying it out loud, my emotions calmed down somewhat.
“It’s not that you can’t, I just think it’s unnecessary.” She sighed, “You have the advantage of proximity, you’re Mrs. Carter now, why are you afraid p>
I knew I was being cowardly, “I don’t know, I’m just afraid p>
Lillian looked at me, seeming to understand why I was afraid. Liam had hurt me too deeply-once bitten by a snake, one fears ropes for ten years.
Because I saw Elena and Aiden together, I completely lost my appetite, drooping my head like a wilted flower.
Seeing this, Lillian suggested accompanying me to the riverside for some fresh air. I absent-mindedly agreed: “Okay p>
“I’ll go settle the bill, wait for me at the entrance p>
“Alright p>
When getting up, I couldn’t help but glance upstairs. It had been more than ten minutes already, what were they talking about? Did they have SỐ much to say? More than Lillian and I had to talk about!
Thinking this way, I felt even worse.
“How about I take you upstairs to check the situation?” Lillian suddenly asked.
“That’s not good, is it?” I refused verbally, but my heart was already stirring.
Lillian saw through my thoughts and pulled me upstairs.
There were twelve private rooms upstairs, finding them one by one would be too troublesome. Just then a waiter passed by, and Lillian immediately stopped him, “Excuse me, which room is Mr. Carter in p>
The waiter looked at us, seeming to misunderstand something: “I don’t know which
Mr. Carter you’re referring to p>
“Hey, you—” Lillian tried to stop him but failed.
Just then, the door of the private room to our right front suddenly opened.
Who else could walk out but Aiden?
I stood there, meeting his unfathomable dark eyes, my mind going completely blank.
Who was I? What was I doing here? At this moment, I completely forgot my purpose, only able to stare at him dumbly, my heart beating so fast it felt like it would burst from my chest.
