Chapter 249

Aria’s POV

I’d completely forgotten to tell Aiden about my plans with Lillian for Saturday until Friday night rolled around.

The realization hit me as I was scrolling through my phone, seeing Lillian’s text about what time we should meet at that trendy new restaurant downtown.

“Shit,” I muttered, sitting bolt upright in bed.

That’s when Aiden walked out of the bathroom, a towel slung low around his hips, water droplets cascading down his broad chest and shoulders. My mouth went dry at the sight. His tanned skin glistened under the soft bedroom lighting, muscles flexing subtly with each movement. My eyes followed a particular droplet trailing down his abs before disappearing beneath the towel.

“Want to do something tomorrow?” His deep voice broke through my appreciation of the view.

I tore my gaze away, suddenly feeling guilty. “I totally spaced on telling you – Lillian and I made plans to check out that new place on Fifth Avenue tomorrow p>

Aiden tossed his hair towel into the hamper with practiced ease. “Alright, no problem,” he said, his voice casual. He grabbed the hamper and headed back toward the bathroom.

I watched him walk away, my stomach knotting slightly. His shoulders looked just a touch more rigid than before. Was he disappointed? Annoyed? With Aiden, it could be hard to tell sometimes.

I sighed softly just as he emerged from the bathroom again. I slid off the bed,

padding across the cool hardwood floor to where he stood. Reaching out, I touched his shoulder lightly. “Aiden p>

He glanced at me while picking up his phone from the nightstand. “Hmm p>

“Are you upset?” I asked, studying his face for any tells.

“Not upset p>

He lowered his gaze for a moment, those impossibly long eyelashes fanning against his cheeks. “Just thought we might go horseback riding tomorrow,” he added, his voice soft but noticeably flat. “That’s all p>

The slight downward turn of his mouth spoke volumes. Despite his neutral tone, disappointment radiated from him.

“Oh God, I’m sorry,” I said, my chest tightening with guilt. “I completely forgot about that. Rain check for Sunday instead p>

“Sure. Whatever works for you p>

His answer came quickly, but that hint of disappointment still lingered in his eyes. I bit my lip, deliberating. This called for some damage control.

“Aiden,” I said, my voice dropping lower.

“Yeah p>

“Come closer. I want to tell you something p>

He tilted his head slightly, curiosity flickering in his eyes as he leaned down toward me. His face hovered inches from mine, his breath warm against my skin, smelling

of mint toothpaste. His proximity sent a familiar heat rushing through me.

I reached up, wrapping my arms around his neck, my fingertips grazing the damp hair at his nape. Looking directly into those stormy blue eyes, I whispered, “Can I kiss you p>

His gaze darkened instantly, pupils dilating as his Adam’s apple bobbed visibly. Without answering, he slid his arm around my waist and pulled me against him, his mouth capturing mine in a hungry kiss.

I melted against him, the familiar taste of him sending electricity down my spine. Unlike our first awkward kisses, I now knew exactly how to respond to him, how to tilt my head just so, how to press my body against his to draw that delicious growl from deep in his throat.

When my fingers tightened in his hair, I felt his whole body shudder. In one fluid motion, he lifted me off the floor, my legs automatically wrapping around his waist as he carried me back to bed.

We tumbled onto the mattress together, the cool sheets a stark contrast to the heat of his body pressing me down. The weight of him settling between my thighs sent sparks of anticipation throughout my body. I arched against him, already feeling the hardness straining beneath his towel.

“Aiden,” I gasped as his lips left mine to trail hot kisses down my neck.

“I’ve got you,” he murmured against my skin, his voice deliciously rough.

His hands slid under my thin sleep shirt, palms scorching against my ribs as they moved upward. I lifted my arms, allowing him to pull the fabric over my head in one smooth motion. The cool air hit my bare breasts for only a moment before his mouth descended, tongue circling one nipple while his thumb brushed over the other.

“Oh fuck,” I moaned, my back arching off the bed. My hands found their way back to his hair, holding him against me as pleasure spiraled outward from where his mouth worked.

His towel had come loose during our

tumble, and felt him hard and

heavy against my th net

down between us, wrapping my fingers around his length, feeling. surge of satisfaction when he

groaned against my breast.

“Impatient tonight, aren’t we?” he chuckled darkly, lifting his head to look at me. The

raw hunger in his eyes made my core clench with need.

“Maybe I just know what I want,” I replied, squeezing him gently and watching his eyelids flutter.

He slid down my body then, hooking his fingers into the waistband of my sleep shorts and panties, dragging them down my legs in one go. I felt suddenly, gloriously exposed as his gaze traveled over me.

“God, you’re beautiful,” he breathed, his hands running up my thighs, spreading them wider as he settled between them.

The first touch of his mouth against me had me gasping, my hips bucking involuntarily. He chuckled the vibration only intensifying the sensation as his tongue circled my most sensitive spor before delving deeper. One of his hands splayed across my stomach, holding me in place as I writhed beneath his expert

attention.

I could feel the tension building rapidly, my thighs beginning to tremble. “Aiden, please,” I begged, not even sure what I was asking for.

He seemed to understand, though. He rose up on his knees, positioning himself at my entrance. Our eyes locked as he pushed forward, filling me inch by exquisite inch until I felt completely, perfectly stretched around him.

“Jesus Christ,” he groaned, his forehead dropping to mine as he stilled, giving me time to adjust. “You feel incredible p>

I wrapped my legs around his waist, urging him deeper. “Move,” I commanded, nipping at his lower lip.

He started slow, long, deliberate strokes that had me clutching at his shoulders, nails digging into the muscle there. But it wasn’t enough. I needed more. “Harder,” I gasped, and he obliged immediately, his hips snapping against mine with increasing force.

The headboard began to knock rhythmically against the wall as Aiden’s thrusts became more powerful. I felt that familiar tightening low in my belly, my breath coming in short pants as I climbed higher.

“That’s it,” he encouraged, his voice strained. “Let go for me p>

He shifted slightly, changing the angle, and suddenly he was hitting that perfect spot with every thrust. My vision started to blur at the edges as the pressure built to an almost unbearable level.

“Aiden!” I cried out as the dam finally broke, pleasure crashing through me in overwhelming waves. My inner muscles clenched around him, pulling him deeper. “Fuck, Aria,” he growled, his rhythm faltering as my orgasm triggered his own. He drove into me one final time, burying himself to the hilt as he came.

For several moments, we stayed locked together, both trembling and gasping for breath. Eventually, he rolled to the side, bringing me with him so we faced each other, my leg still draped over his hip.

“So,” I said when I could speak again, tracing lazy patterns on his chest. “Are we good for Sunday p>

He laughed then, a deep, genuine sound that made my heart swell. “We’re good for Sunday,” he confirmed, pressing a kiss to my forehead. “But I might need a reminder in the morning p>

“Oh?” I raised an eyebrow, deliberately shifting my hips against his. “What kind of reminder did you have in mind p>

His eyes darkened again as he rolled me onto my back once more. “Let me show

you,” he whispered, before capturing my lips in another searing kiss.

As

it turned out, we didn’t get much sleep that night. But I made absolutely certain

he wouldn’t forget our Sunday plans.
