Chapter 430
(Author’s POV)
“Mr. Everests, we couldn’t thank you properly for your help. Thank you so much for saving our daughter’s life. It means so much to us,” Sandra said to Brave, her eyes full of gratitude.
“Ma’am, it’s nothing to mention. It is something that I should do,” Brave was modest with his answer.
“Mrs. Miracle, Mr. Miracle, have some coffee. You must have been worried and fatigued. It will help you elevate exhaustion,” Dion had prepared the coffee on his own and brought it for the couple.
The Miracle couple, Everests brothers and Fabian, all were gathered inside a private lounge space on the VIP floor. The place had its own kitchen and pantry filled with ingredients, two sets of bedrooms to relax, two bathrooms and a big enough living room.
Sandra took it and thanked Dion, giving him a brief smile followed by a nod. Meanwhile, William didn’t touch his cup. He remained cautious for some reason. Elio noticed his hesitation and said, “Mr. Miracle, you should try this. This is Arabica coffee, which is good for heart diseases p>
William’s eyes flickered. Apart from his family, no one knew about his heart condition, not even Fabian. Actually, five years ago, due to extreme work stress and providing for his family, he had developed a blockage in his heart. Although it was just a mild one.
So, he was surprised to hear Elio’s words. “How did you~ his voice trailed off at the end.
“Myr~ *ahem ahem*… Ms. Miracle had mentioned it to me once,” Elio explained.
William pressed his lips and questioned, “Are you and my daughter acquainted somehow, Mr. Everests?” He knew about Myra and Alaric’s encounter due to the forum gossip. He was also aware that Dion was Wendy and Myra’s temporary professor, because his youngest daughter couldn’t stop talking about the topic. As for Brave~ he was his daughter’s saviour. But Elio~ he didn’t quite recall Myra ever mentioning anything about Elio.
Elio hesitated, but before he could respond, Dion barged in, “He is. Actually, Mr. Miracle, we all know Myra before today’s incident.” The familiar, intimate way he said Myra’s name was his way of emphasising his personal connection with her.
“How so?” this time, Sandra questioned.
Dion was about to tell them when Fabian jumped in, “Sir, ma’am. Mr. Dion Everests is temporarily taking lectures for the arts major.” He then turned to Dion and said, “Isn’t that right?” His silent gesture could be translated as, ’Keep your mouth shut p>
Two people in the room were stunned to get this set of information, and it wasn’t William and Sandra. It was the eldest and youngest Lycan Alpha, Brave and Elio. They knew nothing about it. Both of them looked at Dion, their eyes wide open and full of unspoken questions.
’Since when did Dion develop a hobby of playing a professor?’ Brave’s mind raced. He had seen all of his habits and knew about him too well. That unserious brother of his is teaching at the Red Stone, that was a thought he couldn’t digest. From what he remembered, Jacob had offered Dion on the first day they arrived in Esteria, but the latter had declined it on the spot, showing utter disinterest. ’So, why the sudden change? Is Dion trying to do something?’ He was doubtful of the whole situation.
’So, he knew about Myra and her family all along?’ Elio thought, feeling like a fool. ’He knew and didn’t breathe a word regarding it. Knowing how desperately we have been looking for her p>
“Sort of,” Dion smiled sarcastically at Fabian and answered. ’Hahhh~ this shady, Fabian guy, he really annoys me for some reason, uhhhh~ Drey uttered, while rolling his eyes.
’Let him say whatever he wants to say. I will play along, for now. Anyways, the Miracles~… they will soon know about us. And he won’t be able to do a fucking thing, like he wasn’t able to do last night,’ Dion replied casually. Now that Nora was involved and seeing the couple’s reaction, he was sure Myra wouldn’t be able to shut them off from her life so easily.
Fabian then turned to Brave and started asking questions, “I have been meaning to ask you something p>
Brave nodded, signalling him to go ahead.
“Mr. Brave, when you rescued Myra, did you come face to face with those culprits?” Fabian queried. Although he knew the answer. After all, he had witnessed Brave’s cruelty with his own eyes.
Brave glanced at William and Sandra, who, too, were waiting for his answer. They wanted to know about those people~ no~ those vicious monsters who did such a gruesome thing to their precious daughter.
When they first heard from Myra that she was hospitalized, they were stupefied and, without any delay, rushed straight to the hospital. And the minute their eyes landed on their daughter, lying in a hospital bed, all sewn up and broken, their heart sank. Her emaciated face was a stark contrast to the bright, radiant one when she left the house yesterday. They were in immense pain.
The unknown uneasiness Sandra was feeling all day, yesterday, it was because of this. “If only I hadn’t let her go, nothing like this could have happened,” she was dreading, blaming herself as her eyes welled up with raw tears.
All eyes were on Brave as he relieved a sigh and said, “I did come face to face with them p>
“Did they~ did they reveal their identities? Did they say anything to you?” Fabian pressed. Their bodies were charred like charcoal. It was so bad that knowing their identities wasn’t an easy task.

“Why~… why are you here, Dion?” Fabian asked. His face etched with sheer panic and bewilderment.
In that moment, Alaric’s mind went. His eyes landed on the bracelet on Dion’s wrist, shining and pristine. Alex grumbled inside him, ’If Dion is here, who the hell was there in that burned down cottage? Who does that charm belong to? Al, our mate, who is she with? She is~ she is still in danger p>
