Mira gave Seraphina a pointed look.
While her enemies in Melvion City had been dealt with, Lawrence was still very much alive and thriving in Aethelgard.
After the clash over the bike-sharing business, she had thoroughly pissed him off. Mira didn’t believe for a second that he would just let it go.
Besides, it was common sense: the bigger your business grew, the more security you needed to match your status.
Otherwise, you never knew whose toes you might step on or whose jealousy you might spark, ending up dead in a ditch.
“But I never travel with bodyguards, and I’ve been perfectly fine,” Seraphina pointed out.
“You don’t think you have protection? I could tell at a glance that your family’s driver is a highly trained professional. Plus, you’re a daughter of the Quinn family in Aethelgard. Small-time enemies wouldn’t dare touch you on your home turf. As for the big players, they don’t consider you a target because you aren’t the future heir to the family, nor are you a core decision-maker. You don’t hold enough leverage p>
Seraphina looked thoughtful. She had never really considered it from that angle before.
Still, she felt that bringing two massive bodyguards to college was a bit of an overreaction.
Once they entered the campus, the two girls parted ways since they were in different majors. Silas and his partner discreetly faded into the background, maintaining a safe perimeter around Mira without drawing attention.
Mira had booked a room for them at the campus guest house so they had a place to rest.
When Mira walked into room 0602, the final roommate had already arrived.
As Mira entered, the girl was chatting with Vanessa. She merely glanced up at Mira and didn’t bother to say hello.
Naturally, Mira saw no reason to force a conversation either.
Leah, however, was absolutely thrilled to see Mira walk through the door.
“Mira! Are you staying here tonight p>
Mira nodded.
Since she had a bed on campus, she planned to stay in the dorms most of the time. The Leadership. a Discipline Orientation was starting soon, so it made sense to get used to campus life first. ‘
Given Leah’s usual bubbly personality, she should have introduced the new roommate to Mira, but she remained silent.
Mira easily deduced that the new girl had likely aligned herself with Vanessa, and
the two of them had probably iced Leah out the night before.
“Do you want me to help you unpack your clothes?” Leah offered.

Every dorm had its own complex ecosystem. Since those two clearly weren’t going to be friendly, Mira needed an ally in the room, so she gladly accepted Leah’s help.
Once everything was put away, Elara came over to grab Mira for the assembly. Leah tagged along, and the three of them headed downstairs together.
The moment they walked out the door, the new roommate rolled her eyes and scoffed to Vanessa. “What a kiss ass. She couldn’t suck up to… you, so now she’s trailing after that one p>
Vanessa just smiled faintly. “Let her p>
They clearly viewed Leah with absolute disdain.
Meanwhile, walking alongside Mira, Leah leaned in and whispered, “That new girl is Jillian Lowe. She looks like a potato and immediately glued herself to Vanessa the second she walked in
As she spoke, she huffed and turned her head, clearly still fuming over being mistreated.
Mira stayed quiet, but Elara chimed in. “Weren’t you trying to kiss up to Vanessa yesterday, too? What happened, did it not work out p>
Mira shot Elara a glance, noting her completely serious expression. There wasn’t a hint of sarcasm in her tone.
This girl was just ruthlessly honest.
