Mira’s cousin, Miles, was also present, watching blankly as if he had given up on reasoning with his mother.
Grandma Eleanor lay on the sofa, gasping, her chest heaving with so much fury she couldn’t even speak.
Rachel, being merely the housekeeper, could only offer gentle words while methodically rubbing Eleanor’s back to soothe her breathing. Seeing this, a blazing inferno ignited in Mira’s chest.

Sebastian and Miles tried to step in front of Gwen to block her tirade, their faces twisted in embarrassment, but they couldn’t shut her up.
Mira shot a cold look at Silas and Jax. “What are you waiting for? Gag her p>
Jax swiftly yanked off his own sock and stuffed it straight into Gwen’s mouth. The room went blissfully quiet.
The two bodyguards moved with tactical precision, twisting Gwen’s arms behind her back, binding them with rope, and shoving her toward the door.
Zane stood off to the side, his eyes locked on Sebastian and Miles, waiting for Mira’s next command.
“Mira, how could you treat Gwen like this p>
Mira sat gracefully on the sofa, her gaze piercing through him. “How am I supposed to treat her? Tell me, Uncle p>
She did not invite either of the men to sit.
Owen walked over and sat beside Mira, making absolutely no move to intervene.
“She is your aunt, after all p>
Sebastian frowned deeply.
“So what if she is? Does that give her the right to casually abuse Eleanor?
Does that give her the right to spout lies, twist the truth, and slander me in my own home?
Didn’t you know about Eleanor’s heart condition p>
“She… she was just heartbroken after hearing Seraphina crying, and insisted on coming over.
She only wanted to vent to your grandmother. Right or wrong, it’s just complaints. Eleanor has known her personality for years p>
Sebastian looked utterly helpless.
“Just complaints? Are you a three-year-old child?
Eleanor is so furious she can barely breathe. Are you and your son completely blind, just standing there letting her throw a tantrum p>
Whatever her personality was, if the Quinn family refused to leash her, Mira certainly wasn’t going to let her harm anyone in this house.

Miles suddenly interjected.
“Those shares belong to me, not you.
I already handed the vast majority of the company’s equity over to you. Don’t even
dream about touching these p>
Eleanor, having finally caught her breath, shouted the words.
As she looked at her son and grandson, her eyes held no warmth only the cold
detachment of a stranger.
“I raised you all. I built that company from a third-rate firm into one of the
top four conglomerates. Thave wronged absolutely no one in this life.
Now, I am old and frail. What little time I have left is entirely thanks to the care Mira
has provided. From today onward, I am staying with Mira.
Everything I have left has nothing to do with the Quinn family, and I don’t need you to care for me in my old age.
If you still recognize me as your mother, then leash that lunatic wife of yours and never let her bother me again.
