“Wow, I’ve never been to such a high-end restaurant. Hanging out with Vanessa is the best.” Jillian strutted after her.
Her smug expression practically screamed for everyone to be jealous, as if that place was completely out of reach for ordinary people.
“Ugh! What a piece of work,” Leah scoffed, thoroughly annoyed by Jillian’s
ridiculous arrogance.
She had studied her heart out to get into a top university just to secure a good job. She also wanted to build a network, hoping that befriending some upper-class classmates might help her in the future.
But after constantly having her friendly advances shut down by Vanessa, Leah finally got mad and planted herself firmly in the opposing camp.
“We’re going to the Solflare Grand Hotel tonight too. What is she so smug about?” “Just ignore them,” Mira said, glancing at Leah’s frustrated expression.
“I know, I know. Jillian is just on a power trip.” Leah paused to think. “But I heard the Solflare Grand Hotel is insanely popular. If we get there late, will we even get a table p>
The mere mention of the prestigious Aethelgard restaurant made Leah buzz with excitement.

Mira rested for a while longer, catching up on some emails on her phone, until Elara showed up at their agreed time.
The three girls walked over to the edge of the stadium, meeting up with Harvey and his three friends before heading toward the gates.
Cedric discreetly nudged Harvey’s arm. “Hook me up with one of them. I want to ask her out p>
Harvey shot him a dirty look. “I already introduced you. If you want to ask her out, do it yourself. I’m not playing matchmaker p>
“Come on, man, aren’t we roommates? You know them well. Can’t you just put in a good word?” Cedric hooked his arm around Harvey’s, flashing a roguish grin.
“Get out of here p>
Just then, the class president, Reece, walked by. “Where are you all headed?” “Going out for dinner,” Harvey replied.
“Mind if I join? Give me a second, let me drop off my backpack.” Reece assumed they were just grabbing a quick bite at one of the cheap diners near the campus entrance.
Harvey cast a helpless glance at Mira.
“It’s fine. We’re all classmates, the more the merrier p>
Reece seemed like a decent guy, and Mira certainly wasn’t hurting for cash. She wasn’t going to turn him down over the cost of an extra plate.
While waiting for Reece, Mira thought of Sera and decided to give her a quick call.

Hearing someone as wealthy as Sera praise the Solflare Grand Hotel made Mira feel a flicker of anticipation.
Truth be told, when the Solflare
Grand Hotel first opened its doors, Mira had been busy with her final exams and then tied up dismantling the Porter family. This would be her very first visit.
As the group reached the campus gates, Jax and Harvey’s bodyguards were already waiting in separate Mercedes sedans.
Cedric and the others followed Mira
and Harvey. Seeing the two luxury cars, they assumed some wealthy family was there to pick up another student.
“Get in. Where are you guys wandering off to?” Mira called out to Wyatt and the
boys who had walked right past the cars.
“Are… are these for us?” Zachary asked.
“Of course. They’re taking us to the restaurant,” Harvey answered.

For once, the boys didn’t try to cram in with the girls. They piled into Harvey’s car,
leaving Mira and the girls in the other.
It wasn’t out of some newfound gentlemanly restraint; it was purely because Mira’s
two bodyguards looked completely intimidating.
Since it was Reece’s first time
hanging out with them, he felt awkward intruding on the girls, but
after getting crowded out by the
other guys, he had no choice but to
share a ride with Mira’s trio.
“Where exactly are we going for dinner?” Reece asked Mira, sensing something
was off.
“The Solflare Grand Hotel,” Elara answered for her.
“Why are we going somewhere that expensive? That’s way too much money to blow
on a meal p>
