Garrett had chosen to transport the goods by sea, which would allow them to remain hidden and avoid any conflict with Babur’s high-profile convoy.
According to Max’s plan, Babur was a diversion, sent ahead to Bravenland with supplies to draw attention. The truly useful weapons were all on Garrett’s ship.
Helen and I stood at the highest point of the deck, gazing out at the vast ocean. It would take three days and two nights to reach Bravenland.
We were traveling under the guise of a fishing vessel.
So we were also dressed plainly.
“On this trip, both sides are facing a life-or-death situation,” Garrett said with a sigh. Seeing my low spirits, Helen continued to comfort me.
