Rain returned to the hospital as soon as she ensured that Clifford was out of the police station. “Did you wait for me?” she hummed to Alexander, leaning down to kiss his cheek.
“How did it go?” Alyssa asked. Rain smiled, feeling grateful for how well she and Alyssa had been getting along lately. She often volunteered to stay with Alexander while Rain went out.
“It went well. Clifford’s out of the police station, but he still has to attend the trial,” she explained.
“That’s good. What matters is that you and Big Brother Alexander are safe,” Alyssa said, her tone thoughtful. “Although it’s obvious that Cosmos Electronics will use this opportunity to strike against the Lancaster Group. After all, Lancaster Electronics has remained their top rival, especially since Big Brother Alexander resumed his position as CEO p>
Rain nodded, fully aware of the brewing corporate storm. Still, she trusted William to manage it all seamlessly. After all, he wasn’t alone. Dion was by his side, and starting tomorrow, Aunt Ava would be deeply involved as well.

Rain chuckled, finding comfort in the shared lighthearted moment despite everything happening around them.
“Oh, by the way, I heard this Clifford helped a lot. Can I meet him someday? I heard from Sis Sanya that he’s the best hacker!” Alyssa suddenly beamed.
Rain chuckled. Alyssa and Sanya had also gotten along well recently. When Rain wasn’t with her, Alyssa would often bug Sanya instead, but they didn’t mind. After learning the truth that it was Rain who had saved Alexander, Alyssa seemed to distance herself from Carla and was trying to make up for it.
“Why are you planning to hack something?” Rain teased.
Alyssa pouted and hummed, “Well… I want him to hack my next boyfriend’s phone to make sure I’m not being cheated on. I don’t trust myself anymore. I feel like I’m bad at discerning people’s characters p>
“You’re still young, Alyssa. You’re just twenty-one. That’s how life is you fall, you stumble, but you learn. It’ll shape you into someone better next time,” Rain said, smiling as she began massaging Alexander’s arms.
“Well, I hope so. Sis, would it be alright if I drew you and Alexander sometimes here in the hospital room? Just for some reason, it’s inspiring seeing how you stare at him lovingly and hold his hand while updating him on what happened today,” Alyssa asked with a shy smile.
“Of course, Alyssa. I really don’t mind,” Rain replied warmly.
“Oh! I almost forgot. Uncle Darwin and his family will be visiting. Mom called me and said they’ll drop by late afternoon,” Alyssa said, quickly picking up her things. “I should go p>
“Why are you in such a hurry? Stay and let’s greet them together. It’s better with you by my side since you know them well,” Rain suggested.
“But that man could be-” Alyssa stopped mid-sentence when there was a knock at the door.
Alyssa quickly opened it, and Rain noticed that she froze when she saw who it was. Sebastian was standing at the door holding a basket of fresh fruit.
“Oh, you’re here. Are you alone?” Rain asked. Sebastian, still looking at Alyssa, turned to her and handed over the basket.
“Come inside,” she gestured.
“Dad’s on his way with Mom. I came straight from court,” Sebastian explained once inside. “How’s Alexander?” he asked, walking over to Alexander’s bed and staring at him.
“He’s doing well. Nothing to be alarmed about… just waiting for him to wake up,” Rain answered.
Sebastian nodded. Leaning over Alexander, he said, “Buddy, aren’t you tired of sleeping? You’re not Sleeping Beauty, so wake up already. Damn, do you know how I suffer from Eric’s crying? He and William… those two are driving me crazy crashing at my penthouse just to cry over you p>
Rain chuckled, watching as Sebastian continued talking to Alexander, mostly threatening him to wake up. She glanced at Alyssa, who was sneaking glances at Sebastian and blushing. It was obvious she was uneasy, making Rain wonder what had happened between them.
She knew Sebastian had dealt with Alyssa’s ex-boyfriend, but she wasn’t sure about the details. Just then, Judge Darwin and his wife arrived.
A few moments passed, and Alyssa approached Rain. “Sis, I’ll go now p>
Sebastian suddenly interjected, “I’ll drop you off p>
“It’s alright, I can manage. I’ll just call p>
But Alyssa halted when Sebastian walked to the door and blankly said, “Let’s go, Yssa p>
She gulped before bidding farewell again to both Sebastian’s and her own parents. As far as she knew, Alyssa was still unaware that Sebastian’s parents and hers had once agreed to an arranged marriage between the two of them. According to Alexander, only Sebastian knew about it.
Rain snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a soft hand gently squeeze hers. “It must have been hard,” Darwin’s wife said with a kind smile. It was the first time Rain had met her. Rain nodded at her, replying confidently, “I know he’ll wake up soon. I’ll keep waiting, no matter how long it takes p>
“Did you hear that, Xander?” Judge Darwin chimed in with a grin. “Your wife is so young, don’t waste her years ahead… Wake up soon.” He chuckled, only for his wife to elbow him and scold him lightly, making Rain smile.
She stared at her husband, a pang of pity rising in her chest as she thought about all the visitors who had been scolding him lately for not waking up soon enough.
After a while, she found herself alone with Alexander again. She gently caressed his cheek, her voice soft as she hummed, “Maybe I’ll stop having visitors for now. You’ve had enough scolding about waking up, don’t you think p>
