The Jewell family finally scurried away in disgrace. Calliope led her parents back into the Myers Manor, where they sat down for a proper conversation.
She had initially worried their affection was just a superficial act, a temporary ploy to get her to come home. But she quickly realized they were incredibly sincere and earnest, their words filled with genuine guilt and apology. They felt they had wronged her deeply.
Mrs. White even offered to give Calliope everything she had ever given Blythe, trying desperately to make up for the past.
“My daughter was supposed to have a happy childhood,” she said, her voice trembling. “It didn’t matter if she was exceptional or not, but she should have been healthy, happy, and cherished. She should have had people who loved her p>
“But as her parents, we weren’t there for you. We failed to give you the love you deserved.” They were overwhelmed with remorse, their apologies and self-blame pouring out.
“Callie, it’s all our fault. I didn’t protect you. I’m the one who let you get lost and separated from us p>
“I was a terrible mother. I wasn’t strong enough back then, and worst of all, I lost my memories of you p>
“If I hadn’t forgotten, I never would have believed you were gone p>
“I know you might not be able to forgive us, but please, give us a chance to make it up to you p>
“Yes, Callie,” Jett added. “Whatever you want, whatever you think we can do to atone, just tell us. We’ll do anything to make you happy p>
“Callie, your mother and I love you so much p>
“Even when we thought you were gone, we never forgot you. We always kept your memory alive, praying for you and hoping you were at peace,” Mrs. White explained, her voice thick with emotion. “We love you, and we never wanted anything but the best for you. We just want you to be happy, now and forever p>
Their earnestness was palpable. Damien, who had been listening quietly, thought that a woman as brilliant and outstanding as Calliope certainly deserved parents like these. He remained silent, letting them have their moment.
After talking with them for a while, Calliope began to understand their intentions. She had feared they would be like the Jewells, in which case she would have had no reason to acknowledge them. But now she saw they were different, that they genuinely loved her.
She had no reason to reject her real parents. They had also made it clear how they would handle Blythe, who had already signed an agreement stating that everything depended on Calliope’s wishes of Calliope wanted Blythe out of the family, Jett and Mrs. White wouldn’t hesitate to make her leave, especially since Blythe was now an adult.

“Blythe confessed everything to us,” Jett sighed, That show was her idea. She planned to use it to try and prove to the world that she was better than you. However, she came clean after she found out you were our biological daughter, so we had the show canceled p>
Calliope fell silent. That explained a lot. Even if Blythe had gone through with her plan, it would have been difficult to outshine her. Blythe was a skilled doctor, but she was no match for Calliope.
