“What the hell did I just hear? A human with the legendary gold blood,” Elisa muttered to herself, her tone filled with total disbelief, her glove covered hands were on her mouth. Then her eyes started to glint, “Something this big was right under my nose and I wasn’t aware. Hha hahaha ahahahahh HAhaHAHAhhaha~ …” she scoffed, and a rumble of laughter escaped her mouth.
She walked to her vanity. Looking at herself in the mirror, she took off her gloves and mumbled, “If I hadn’t seen those Lycan brothers sneaking off to their room and followed after them, I wouldn’t have known about it at all. Is this what they call having good luck? Is this a sign? The hell is missing me and wants me back that bad, huhh? Hahahh ahahaha~ …” Her laughter shifted something close to sinister.
She raised her swollen, scalded, leathery hands and pivoted her wrist back and forth as a calculating smile spread across her deep plum hued lips, “All that pain I have suffered, all those endless insults, all that humiliation I have faced until now~ …. I guess it is finally going to come to fruition tonight.”
She brought her attention back to her face, tracing the edge of her reflection in the mirror. She continued, something dark lurked in those basic green eyes of hers, “Lycan wolf, Brave Everests, you rejected me for that girl. You dared to reject the demon queen. You want that bitch that badly, right? Good~ …. very good. I will make sure that wench~ …. gets her due price.”
She took out her phone and made a call. Within two rings, the call connected, as Aamon’s soft voice came from the other side, “My queen~ …. you called me.”
“Aamon~ … do something for me,” she said, a smug expression etched on her face. Her gaze remained transfixed on her own image.
“What is it~ …. I would do anything for you,” Aamon, like a lovesick fool, whispered, his voice raspy.
“I know you would. The human sacrifice to activate the demon circles. Use that girl, Myra Miracle,” she ordered, grinning from ear to ear.
Aamon paused as he flinched. He was just about to finish the demon circles. His subordinate has already departed to bring in the sacrificial human he had picked beforehand. So, he questioned directly, “My men will be here any minute with the sacrifice I have picked. So, why her?”
“Nooo~ …. dump whosoever you have picked. I only want Myra Miracle as the immolation for the ritual,” Elisa was adamant.
“But the activation process requires a human with a strong body. Didn’t that human have a major accident recently? Why the sudden change now?” he questioned. Sensing something, he pressed further, “Tell me, tell me honestly, what’s going on …. Elisa~ ….?” He called her by her name.
Elisa pursed her lips, rubbing them together as she thought, ’Aamon, that simp. He has always been loyal to me, but ever since I came to this place, he has been questioning my orders time and time again. I can’t lie to him~ …, but if I tell him the real reason, I don’t know how he will react. What should I do?”
After a long pause, she sighed and came to a conclusion. She answered honestly, “That girl Myra miracle~ …. she has got that legendary gold blood.”
“Gold blood? You mean~ … that powerful, unmatched Draught of Ambrosia?” Aamon uttered in shock. As realisation dawned on him, he added, “That’s why~ ….”
“Yes, exactly, Aamon. Her rare blood will act as the perfect catalyst for the ritual. It will not only restore my powers back, it will also amplify them a thousandfold. That way, no one will be able to stop me from ruling all of hell. Not even that damned, cocky king of hell, Ramiel. He will be begging on his knees in front of me,” Elisa’s tone turned malicious.
She soon realized Aamon was on the other end and softly added, her voice laced with honey, as he tried to coax him, “Aamon, you have been the Marquis for far too long. The title of the king suits you better. After tonight, we both will have unrivalled power as we will ascend the throne of hell.”
Aamon remained silent on the other end, making Elisa anxious. There was not much time left for the sun to set. She pushed him a little, “Don’t you want to be my king? Won’t you stand beside me, hmm? Don’t be reluctant, my dear? Once I get my powers, I will declare our relationship to the whole universe, future king Aamon.”
Hearing her words, a smile crept up his lips as he replied, “If my queen wishes so, I will do as she commands. Now then~ …. I will be waiting for you at the sacred altar. I need to wring up our sacrificial lamb,” saying this, he disconnected the call.
A sense of exhilaration coursed through Elisa’s body as she glanced at the time. There were a little more than three hours left before the dusk would completely settle.
’Not much time is left. Soon, very soon, I will be leaving this shabby, worthless, wretched space and return to my rightful place. Just a night away, and I, Elisa, will get what I have always coveted. I will ascend the throne of hell. I will be the eternal queen and everyone~ …. will bow to me.
