“I thought you were the girl I saved from the attic,” he spat, his voice vibrating with pure malice. “But you weren’t. You locked her in that attic, you psychotic bitch. You ruined my life. You made me lose her forever p>
He leaned closer to the glass.
“I did not come here to save you,” Kieran whispered. “I came here to watch you rot. I hope you die in this cage p>
He slammed the receiver down, stood up, and walked out of the visiting room without looking back.

Aspen sat frozen.
