The heavy iron gates of the Schneider estate on Long Island slammed shut with a final, metallic clang.
Three massive Louis Vuitton suitcases were violently thrown onto the concrete driveway. They hit the ground with a sickening thud, the expensive leather scraping against the rough gravel and tearing through the pristine material.

She snatched the stack of papers and screamed — a raw, ugly sound that tore at her vocal cords. She frantically tried to rip the document apart, her acrylic nails digging viciously into the pages. She managed only to tear the cover and a few loose sheets before her strength gave out. With a guttural cry, she smashed the heavy stack against the iron bars and let the crumpled pages scatter into the cold wind.
She lunged at the gate, wrapping her manicured hands around the cold metal bars.
