“Stay with you and treat you?” Everyone including Hallie stared at Leighton in utter shock the moment he finished speaking.
“Yeah. Zora can ease my insomnia and help me get my body back in shape. Rest assured, she’ll never be wronged while staying with me.” Leighton nodded calmly amid their stunned stares.

Leighton’s long-term insomnia had always been a huge worry for everyone, and his sudden statement instantly drew all their attention.
The warm smile faded from Chet’s face, replaced by a serious look.

After sensing his physical condition clearly, Chet turned his eyes straight to Zora.

Though his health was still far from perfect, his insomnia was gradually easing, and his physical deficits were being mended. Solving this biggest trouble meant all other issues were nothing to worry about.
Traumatic events from years ago had left deep scars on Leighton’s mind; even hypnosis had failed to erase those painful memories.
“Yeah. I just made some nourishing soups to help him get better slowly,” Zora replied casually. unaware how much relief those simple words had brought everyone around her.
“He actually drank those soups?” Chet’s voice held barely contained excitement.

To her, sick people ought to take medicine.
She had no idea how stubborn Leighton used to be. No one could force him to take medicine no matter what they tried. He would even tough out colds and fevers without any remedies, refusing all medical care entirely. That was exactly why everyone was so amazed now.
