Hallie gathered all their shopping bags and told the shop assistant, then took Zora upstairs to their reserved restaurant.
They did not book a private booth, just a nice window-side table with a wonderful view of the night scenery outside.

“Zora, hurry up and order anything you like. Get all your favorites,” Hallie said.

Zora left the dining area and walked down the long hallway.
On her way back, she froze in place the moment she saw a man and a woman kissing passionately inside the elevator.
She knew the man all too well-it was Wayne.
She couldn’t see the woman’s face-she was hidden tightly in his embrace, their kiss fierce and unrestrained, his hands wandering freely over her exposed shoulders.

In an instant, Wayne lost all sense of caution, completely indulging himself in the intimate
moment.
