“Leighton, what do we do now?” Zora tilted her head up and looked at him.
Maya and everyone else had already left, and she had no plans for what came next.

After they finished eating, they got in the car to head home.
Zora twisted her seatbelt back and forth, bored out of her mind.

“A little.” Now that he was talking to her, Zora stopped fidgeting with her seatbelt. She held up her pinky finger to show a tiny amount.

“About what?” Zora had no idea what they could talk about.

Leighton loved this quiet, private moment with just the two of them. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he teased her.
Zora’s ears instantly heated up. She never thought he’d bring up that kind of question.
“Why talk about me? Talk about yourself instead.” Zora frowned, pretending to be upset.
Why does he have to ask about my type? Why not talk about what kind of girl he likes?

Zora had said it without thinking, but Leighton caught every word clearly. He realized he checked every box she’d just listed.

They stopped at a red light that lasted three minutes. Leighton hit the brakes and turned to face her.
Zora’s whole body tensed up instantly.

Zora couldn’t speak for other people, but she was totally a sucker for his looks.
