“By buying yourself jewelry?” Alistair clicked a button.
A photo appeared on the screen. It was Sienna, wearing the “company assets” at a nightclub.
“And here is the audit report,” Felix added. “Three million dollars missing in two weeks p>
The room burst into outrage. It was the sound of greedy men realizing they had been robbed.
Sienna was trembling, her face mottled with red blotches.
“Fraud,” I said, counting the charges on my fingers. “Corporate espionage. Grand larceny p>
I threw a stack of expense reports onto the table.
“The police are on their way, Sienna. Did you think we wouldn’t notice p>
The board members looked furious now. That was their money.
“Get her out!” a board member shouted. “Call the police p>
Sienna searched for an ally. Everyone avoided her eyes. She was radioactive.
She pulled out her phone to call Liam.
“No signal,” Alistair said. He held up a small jamming device. “I don’t want you crying to Mommy just yet p>
“You ruined everything!” Sienna screamed at me, her eyes wild.
She lunged across the table, long fake nails aimed at my face.
Alistair stepped in. He moved faster than a blink.
He caught Sienna’s wrist in midair. He didn’t twist it. He simply held it with immovable force.
“Don’t make me break it,” Alistair warned quietly.
He released her. Sienna stumbled back, collapsing into a chair.
“Security,” I called out.
This time, the guards moved fast. They wanted to prove their loyalty to the new regime.
Two burly guards grabbed Sienna by the arms.
“No! Let me go!” she wailed.

Sienna kicked and screamed as she was dragged toward the elevators. Her heels left scuff marks on the floor. “My bags! My things! I have a Birkin in there!” she wailed.
I walked to the desk and picked up the limited-edition Birkin bag.
“This?” I asked.
I tossed it to the guard. “Check it for company property,” I ordered. “Then burn it p>
Sienna let out a soul-tearing shriek as the elevator doors closed on her face.
The floor fell silent.
I turned to the stunned board members and staff. They looked terrified.
I smoothed my white suit jacket.
“The circus is over,” I commanded. “Get back to work. We have a product launch to save p>
The authority in my voice was absolute. Everyone scrambled.
Papers shuffled. Phones were answered. Order was restored.
I walked into the CEO’s office and closed the door.
My legs gave out slightly.
Alistair caught me, holding me up with strong, steady arms. “You did good,” he murmured into my hair.
I looked around the office. It reeked of Sienna’s cheap floral perfume.
“Burn sage,” I ordered Felix. “Replace the furniture. Everything. I want it sterilized p>
I crossed to the floor-to-ceiling window and stared out over the city.
