As the team dispersed to prep, Liam caught Skye’s arm.

Later that night, Skye found Victoria in the kitchen.
“Why are you helping us?” Skye asked point-blank.
Victoria stirred her tea. “Because I realized something, Skye. Liam never loved me. He was obsessed with duty, and I was… convenient. But he looks at you like you’re the sun. I can’t compete with the sun. I’d just get burned p>
