By the time Anna and Isabella finally arrived in their car.
The scene they had pictured-Serena showing up only to be cornered, mocked, and terrified by their friends was nowhere to be found.
Instead, Serena was standing at the absolute center of attention, surrounded by admirers.
Both of their expressions froze.

Anna’s face contorted with vicious jealousy.
This was her turf!
She had orchestrated this entire night to turn Serena into a joke and make her pay for her arrogance!

She was always the one at the center of attention in this crowd!
She stormed over, her teeth gritted as she yelled, “Why are you all crowding around her?! She’s just some broke relative from the country! She wouldn’t even be able to get past the gates without me! She even stole my car to get here p>
Isabella quickly grabbed Anna’s hand, feigning gentleness. “Anna, calm down. Serena… she just wants to fit in so badly. She’s never had this much attention before, so it’s natural for her to get a little carried away p>

With that, he shot a look to the thugs behind him.
The thugs, used to doing whatever they wanted, immediately reached out to grab Serena with malicious grins p>

Douglas, who had been lazily propping his head up and watching the show, suddenly sat up straight.
His dark eyes narrowed, a sharp, icy glint flashing in their depths.
