Anna grabbed Isabella, her face thunderous as they got into the car.
She sped all the way back to the hotel.
During the drive, she tore into Serena with a barrage of curses, complaining endlessly to Isabella.
Isabella placated her from the passenger seat. “Anna, don’t be mad. She just doesn’t know the rules. You can teach her a lesson later p>
The more Isabella tried to calm her, the angrier Anna got. She wanted nothing more than to rip Serena apart with her bare hands.
The supercar roared up to the hotel, slamming on the brakes right at the entrance.
She called Serena.
Serena took her sweet time coming down.
Full of pent-up fury, Anna rolled down her window, fully intending to scream at Serena.
But then she suddenly spotted the tall, imposing figure walking right behind her.
Dressed in a black trench coat with one hand shoved in his pocket, he radiated a casual vibe that still managed to send a chill straight down Anna’s spine.

“Douglas, what are you doing here?” Anna stepped out of the car, her aggressive momentum instantly deflating.
Isabella also got out immediately. “Douglas p>
“I heard you were taking my niece out for a good time. I thought I’d join the fun,” Douglas said, a faint smile coloring his voice.

Anna felt a wave of panic but didn’t dare refuse him.
She could only exchange nervous glances with Isabella.
Now that Douglas was coming along.
Could they still torment Serena without consequence?

She never missed an opportunity to subtly throw shade at Serena.

Isabella choked on her words.
Earlier, they had used the excuse that the car only sat two to put Serena in her place.
Now, that exact problem had returned.
