Serena’s expression was calm, showing no emotion.
As her cool, clear eyes fell on Isabella’s hands, an inexplicable chill ran down
Isabella’s spine.
Isabella’s fingers, hovering over Mr. Hank’s body, curled slightly. She turned to look at Serena, a flash of resentment in her eyes.
Serena must be afraid of her saving Mr. Hank!
Because once she saved Mr. Hank, she would be his savior! Mr. Hank would not only be grateful to her, but also to the entire Lancaster family.

They would understand that she was far more useful than Serena!

Isabella sneered inwardly, but her words were a mask of anxiety and grievance. “Saving him is the priority right now! Are you just going to stand there and watch Mr. Hank… I know you have a problem with me, but at a time like this, you can’t joke around with someone’s life p>
Karen chimed in from the side, “Exactly! At least Isabella is trying to save a life, which is better than some people who just stand there and run their mouths p>
Serena didn’t even bother to glance at the two of them. Her gaze swept over Mr. Hank’s face.
One look was all it took for her to be certain.
Hank’s condition was likely caused by vasodilation from inhaling the gas released by Norvane earlier.
Ordinarily, since Serena had detected the gas shortly after its release and quickly prepared an antidote, it shouldn’t have caused any major issues in such a short time.
But that was assuming there were no pre-existing conditions.
This Mr. Hank probably had significant respiratory problems, making him overly sensitive to the gas and allowing it to spread rapidly through his body, triggering the expansion of his blood vessels.
Norvane’s warriors had all come for her.
Hank’s attack was, in part, because of her. She couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.

She had witnessed Serena’s medical skills before.

From the looks of it, it was only a matter of time before their grandfather would walk again.

“So you do know this is a matter of
life and death?” Serena chuckled her eyes lowered in a look of pure- mockery, giving her an air of looking down on Isabella from a great height.
Isabella heard the implication in her voice. Her face changed slightly, and she bit her lower lip. “Serena, I don’t have time to argue with you just want to save hungright now. Please step aside and don’t disturb me p>
At that moment, Karen, having recovered from her long kneeling spell, rushed over.
She raised her hand, intending to shove Serena away. “Isabella, hurry up and save Mr. Hank! I’ll hold her back p>
Isabella glanced at Karen, who now stood between her and Serena. Her eyes flickered, and she quickly turned back, ready to seize the moment and begin CPR on Mr. Hank.
Serena’s eyes grew cold. She had no time to waste words on them.
As Karen lunged to push her, Serena lifted a slender hand and grabbed Karen’s
arm.
With a slight squeeze of her fingers.
A sharp crack echoed as the bone in her wrist snapped.
Karen screamed in agony.
Serena casually tossed Karen aside like a piece of trash.
