Chapter 1235
“Are you out of your mind?” Phelps Prescott lunged forward in a frenzied panic,
grabbing Chief Arbiter Alistair Kingsley by the collar. “Why the hell are you kneeling to her? Get up and search her room p>
“Get up! I said get up p>
Alistair was already terrified out of his wits. Being yanked by Phelps instantly turned
his overwhelming fear into explosive rage. “You absolute idiot p>
Alistair’s eyes were bloodshot as he grabbed Phelps’s suit tie.
Smack!
Smack! Smack!
Alistair fiercely backhanded Phelps across the face multiple times.
The blows were heavy and ruthless.
Phelps’s head spun from the impact, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
“You complete fool, you’ve doomed me! Do you have any idea what you’ve done p>
“If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be in this mess! Damn you! Damn you p>
Clutching his face, Phelps stumbled backward, his mind entirely blank. He had no idea what had just happened.
Then, realization seemed to strike him, and he snapped his head up to look at Serena.
The girl, dressed in a plush bathrobe, stood there with a lazy, nonchalant posture. She watched them with absolute indifference.
It was as if she were watching two stray dogs fighting over a bone.
Noticing Phelps’s gaze, Serena slowly lifted her eyes, her cold stare landing squarely on him.
It was just a single, fleeting glance.
But Phelps felt a wave of icy dread shoot up his spine, making his scalp tingle.
Acting on pure instinct, he stumbled backward, collapsing awkwardly onto the floor and scrambling away on his hands and knees.
For the first time, genuine terror surfaced in his eyes.
Serena, however, didn’t even have the interest to acknowledge him. She simply tilted her chin up slightly, her tone laced with annoyance. “It’s too loud in here p>
Frederick Moore, who had been waiting attentively on the sidelines, instantly caught her drift. He waved a hand at the men in black suits behind him. “What are you standing around for? Throw these barking mutts out of here p>
“Yes, Chairman p>
The bodyguards immediately moved forward.
They hauled the men up and dragged them toward the elevators.
Phelps finally panicked, struggling as he screamed, “Let go of me! Do you know who I am p>
“Serena Lancaster, you dare treat me like this? The Prescotts won’t let you get away with this p>
Alistair also broke down, wailing and begging for mercy.
But no one paid them any attention.
Within moments, the bodyguards had bundled the two men up, along with the tournament’s security detail, and tossed them entirely out of the Skyline Seven Star Hotel.
The corridor finally fell silent again.
Serena turned back to look at the Elyndor competitors, who were staring at her in stunned disbelief.
A lazy smirk curved her lips. “Alright, the trash has been taken out p>
“On with the show, everyone. Carry on p>
“Don’t let a few nobodies ruin your mood for a good night’s sleep p>
Her tone was casual, but it easily dispelled the oppressive tension that had hung in the air.
A few of the Elyndor team members couldn’t hold back and let out a laugh.
It was a laugh full of immense satisfaction.
Serena shifted her gaze to Lydia Brooks, Caleb Sommers, and a few others who had sustained minor scrapes “Chairman Moore, please take the injured to get their wounds treated. I don’t want to see anyone dropping the ball at tomorrow’s opening ceremony or the official matches p>
Frederick nodded vigorously. “Rest assured, Miss Serena. I will arrange for the best doctors immediately p>
Lydia had been harboring a stomach
full of grievances, but hearing
Serena’s calm, fiercely protective
words made her eyes well Well to with tears..
“Captain p>
Her voice broke slightly.
IMS
Caleb pressed his lips into a tight line, his eyes burning with an intense brightness. The rest of the Elyndor team looked at Serena, the shock and admiration in their hearts swelling until it was impossible to contain.
