Anneliese bit her lip. She wanted to retort that their marriage would only last two years, and since he already had someone in his heart, why shape him into the perfect husband for another woman?

Her almond-shaped eyes were already beautiful. With tears making them blurry, they looked even bigger. In the warm light, they shone like water, soft and bright.
