Chapter 480:
Cole felt the blood drain from his face. A cold spike of pure panic drove straight through his chest.
“June,” he said. His voice came out as a hoarse, trembling whisper. He took a slow, careful step forward, raising both hands in a placating gesture. “June, look at me p>
Her reaction was instantaneous and violent.
She scrambled backward, her heels slipping on the wet marble. The soles of her shoes crushed the remains of a Baccarat crystal vase, sending sharp cracks echoing through the room.
“Do not come near me,” June rasped. Her voice sounded like grinding glass.
Cole froze. He saw the boning knife lying on the floor near her feet.
“Okay. I am stopping,” he said, his breathing shallow and rapid. “Just step away from the knife, June. We can fix this p>
June looked down at the knife. She kicked it away. The blade skidded across the floor and struck the wall.
Cole exhaled. His shoulders dropped slightly.
But in the next fraction of a second, June bent down with swift, precise movements. She reached into the pile of broken glass and closed her hand around a massive, jagged shard of the Baccarat vase — its edge tapering to a lethal point.
Before Cole could process what she was doing, June raised her hand and pressed the razor-sharp edge of the crystal directly against the side of her own neck, right over her carotid artery.

She pushed inward.
The edge sliced cleanly through her pale skin. A bright, terrible line of crimson welled up. A single drop of blood escaped the wound and rolled slowly down the length of her white neck, staining the collar of her silk blouse.
Cole’s pupils dilated to their absolute limit.
His heart stopped. The air was violently sucked from his lungs. The entire room vanished, leaving only the image of the blood on her neck.
“No!” Cole roared. The sound tore out of him — pure, primal agony.
His knees buckled. He crashed heavily onto the floor, his expensive trousers soaking up the spilled wine. He thrust both hands out toward her, fingers shaking violently.
“June, stop! Please, stop!” he begged. The arrogant, untouchable billionaire was gone entirely. What remained was a terrified, broken man pleading for her life.
Alycia and Susan stopped screaming. They stared at June in stunned, absolute silence. The room went dead quiet.
June did not flinch. She held the glass firmly against her artery, her eyes locked on Cole’s face — cold, hollow, and utterly resolved.
“Divorce,” she rasped. Her voice was barely above a whisper, but it carried the full weight of absolute finality. “Now. Sign it. Or I swear to God, I will do it right here and you can watch me bleed p>
Cole’s mind went white with terror. “Anything. I will give you anything,” he choked out. “Just put the glass down p>
June’s hand tightened on the crystal. She pressed it a millimeter deeper.
More blood spilled over the edge, dripping onto her collarbone.
“Call them,” she commanded.
