Alpha Kane
There was something special about Zara today. She wasn’t usually so shy and hesitant.
The events of last night were nothing new to me, but in her mind, it was the first time she’d slept with her Alpha.
I understood her reluctance, her timid glances, and the awkwardness she must have felt by the end of the night. Maybe she accepts me as her mate. She risked her life for me.
I needed to reassure her; now that we’d crossed that threshold, I wanted her to be more open and comfortable with me. After everything she’d been through, I knew physical and emotional contact was essential for her healing, and I would be there for her in every way.
I looked up at her, and my gaze automatically slid to her desired lips. I’d love to try it like last night, but be patient. I’ll wait for her to come to me.
“Sit on your back?” She asked, slightly confused, causing her cheeks to turn into cherries, the kind I wanted to bite into.
“Yes, will that be a problem?” I asked, looking again at her shimmering eyes, which were so full of desire. She asked challengingly.
“No, but I’m not a lightweight. Are you sure you can do push-ups while I’m on my back p>
“I bet you one kiss I can do fifty push-ups while you’re on your back?” I replied without hesitation, and she smirked.
“Agree p>
“Excellent, Blue Rose. I like your adventurous nature.” I ruffled her chestnut hair, letting it fall loosely over her shoulders. It seemed she’d followed my advice to keep it down.
She blushed deeply.
Standing up, I grabbed the bottom edges of my shirt, pulled it off in one motion, and tossed it aside. If Zara was going to sit on me, I was determined to feel her hands and body against my bare skin.
Seeing my actions, her eyes widened, and her cheeks flushed. Slowly, her gaze swept over my torso, her tongue sticking out and licking her lower lip. She was so aroused, seeing me like this.
Good, I needed her to desire me and feel safe with me.
I assumed a position on the mat, placing my hands slightly wider than my shoulders and holding my body straight from head to heels. My arms were extended, and my weight was on my palms and toes.
I lowered myself and called to her.
“Come on, get up.” She slowly stood and walked toward me, placing a warm hand on my back. She adjusted herself and straddled me. Her soft arms wrapped around my shoulders.
“Okay, Arrogant Alpha, go ahead,” she said with a laugh, and my heart calmed when I heard her laughter. That’s what I had in mind.
I pulled myself up, tensing my abs and straightening my arms. I loved a challenge, and Zara’s arms were just like that. This promised to be intense and interesting.

Music boomed from the speakers, and then her cheerful giggles echoed as I rose and fell, her counting ringing in my ears.
Sweat beaded on my forehead and back, running down my face and dripping from my nose onto the mat. I was full of energy, but I planned to give it my all.
“Are you sure you can handle this? You’re slow,” she giggled from above. I was not going to give up. As I reached forty, I felt my arms begin to tremble and tire, but I was determined to do it.
“47! Give in, Alpha, I know what you want, you’re thinking about it.” She leaned closer to my ear and whispered again.
“In your dreams, Blue Rose. Get ready to give me that kiss,” I breathed, finishing another push-up.

I forced myself to rise, my arm muscles aching from the effort, and I felt her hands slowly caress my hard tendons.
Her concern touched me deeply: she knew she would lose the bet if I did this, but she understood I was straining myself and wanted to make it easier for me.
My Blue Rose was truly magnificent, and I didn’t even know what I’d do when she left.
No! I wasn’t going to let her go.
“49!” she said calmly, and I pulled myself up, my back and arms burning from the lactic acid accumulating in my muscles.
“50!” she announced as I finished the last exercise and collapsed to the floor.
She giggled heartily, sprawled across my sweaty body, as if she didn’t care at all about the salt water secreted by my pores.
Her petal-like softness enveloped me completely, and all the tension seemed to melt away.
My heart pounded loudly in my chest, but I slowly turned around, wrapping my arms around her shoulders to keep her from falling.
I turned completely around, so my back touched the mat, and now she was sitting on my waist. Our hungry gazes met, and I saw her giggle.
“Sweaty, huh?” Her hands settled on my chest, and I knew she could feel my heart racing like a cheetah.
I wrapped my arms around her waist, slowly pulling her closer, and she came eagerly.
“It was worth it, every drop of sweat was worth that kiss, hmm.” Her fruity scent invaded my system as her lips hovered just above me; one more breath, and we would share the air.
Lost in the endless dance of our gazes, I was mesmerized.
Her beauty and softness. Without thinking, I slowly stroked her back, wanting to lift her shirt so I could touch her skin with my own.
Her fabric-covered hands rested on my face, and I slowly closed my eyes, trying to feel her, her touch, her scent, her curves, her body.
And then she fused her satin lips with mine, and everything dissolved; only she existed, a unique world created by us, meant only for the two of us.

It seemed like everything had turned to dust except the fire that engulfed me from head to toe, and that was my Blue Rose.
