She didn’t flinch or hesitate, simply moved at my command.
With confident steps, she glided toward me, closing the short distance between us.
I could watch her all day. If she showed her obedience towards me.
“Done, so what now?” she asked, casting a curious glance at me. There was no fear or hesitation in her gaze. My wolf liked her boldness.
And I asked frankly, raising my hand with a glass of brandy.

A look of surprise flashed across her face, which she tried to hide by leaning forward.
The tips of her scarlet hair brushed my legs like static electricity, and I held my breath for a second until she straightened up and looked at me. Her face lost a little of its flush, now that she’d regained her composure.
“You can’t compare to him, Alpha,” she replied simply.
That’s why she put me above him.
Was she just trying to anger me?
“I disagree, or maybe you’re afraid I might outshine.” I didn’t give in.

She brushed a strand of hair away, but maintained her defiant stance, her gaze unwavering.
She was right; she simply said it wasn’t for me.
“Professionalism is important. Maybe I need to give you some lessons, Miss Zara. Or maybe you’re afraid you won’t be able to resist,” I teased again, deliberately, my hungry gaze lingering on her plump lips and then moving to her hair.
“I’m ready, but remember your promise and don’t be disappointed when I tell you the truth, honorable Alpha,” she shot back. The morning light from the window behind me illuminated her flaming locks, and no matter what I did, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from them or her.
I deliberately grinned.
“I’m not born to lose; besides, this will be good practice to strengthen our relationship for the future. This time, things weren’t like that.” I came up with another excuse.
She took another step forward and placed her hand on my firm chest, right over my heart. That stupid organ quickened its rhythm.
What a rich, warm blue her eyes were. They gleamed with curiosity and shyness, both of which they tried to hide, but I saw it as clear as day. I had come to understand her well, thanks to my observations of two different personalities.
“Let’s find out,” her voice was quiet and challenging.
That was it, what touched me, and a low hum echoed in my chest.
With my free hand, I reached out and slowly removed her lock to look into her sparkling azure eyes.
“I hope you like brandy.” With these words, I moved my hand and took a long sip from my glass.
Lowering the glass, I grabbed her head and fisted the hair at the back of her neck. In a whirlwind of emotion, I pressed my lips to hers, allowing our lips to merge.
She hesitated for only a moment, her body tensing, and I waited, but then she almost melted under my touch, like ice turning to water.
Her soft hands gripped my shirt, and I tightened my grip on her curls, tilting her head. Brandy gushed into my mouth, and I slowly spilled some into hers.
She gasped, opening her mouth wider, and I reached up, crossing my legs around her calves. She came eagerly.
I kissed her with passion and lust, a seething mass of emotions I couldn’t control. They spilled out like popcorn from a hot pan.
I greedily inhaled her perfume, slowly and gently, dripping brandy into her hot mouth. She drank greedily, her heart pounding as she moved her arms and hugged me tightly around the shoulders, holding on to me and to our wet kiss.
My other hand slid down to the small of her back and rubbed, while my lips did the same to hers.
She moaned, choking as the brandy trickled down her throat, and she took it all like a champ.
I pulled both hands out and… I cupped her oval face, deepening the kiss, as if I had no intention of letting go. My tongue was ready to penetrate her wetness, to roam with hers, to possess her.
Unnoticed, I turned, holding her in my arms, and pinned her to the table, simultaneously thrusting my entire tongue into her inviting mouth.
She tasted of cherry, wild rose, and something unique, something uniquely hers.
We kissed until our tastes merged.
Her hands left my shoulders and rested on the table, trying to maintain her balance as she leaned back.
I wanted to sweep everything off the table, make her sprawl across it, and rip her blouse open, letting her ample breasts spill out. But I knew that we were in my office, not in the bedroom.
The desire to immerse myself in her softness below overwhelmed me, and I felt myself growing aroused as her hands settled on my chest and she gently pushed me away.
I instantly lost track of her reluctance to continue. Our lips parted, and I almost let out an irritated growl if I hadn’t stopped myself in time.
We didn’t move for a second, and I didn’t take my eyes off her agitated face. Her eyes, timid, slowly lifted to find mine, and the world stopped spinning.
My blue rose was so precious, so fresh, and so mine.
Her chest rose and fell rapidly, and her lipstick smeared from my actions, but she still didn’t take her eyes off me. But she looked beautiful with her smeared lipstick.
And then she spoke, breaking the spell between us.

I saw amusement in her eyes. She wanted to tease me or wanted to grow my anger. However, I am sure I am a good kisser, and she enjoyed my kiss as much as I did. I know she had no mate; she had no feelings for Marcus. She loves my touch. I am her, she is mine.
