“And your claims are contradicted by this voice memo; perhaps it will jog your memory p>
To my horror, the voice memo I’d sent to Sophia began playing on Alpha Kane’s phone.
’If only the floor of his office would open up and swallow me.’ I wished.
’What the hell is going on, Zara?’ Nova yelled.
’I sent this note to Sophia because she wanted to use some tricks on her boyfriend.’ I cleared to Nova.
’Oh! Please goddess! The ceiling fell on my head and put me out of my misery.’ I prayed.
’Don’t be dramatic, Zara.’ Nova muttered.
My ears burned as if someone had lit a match beneath them, and beads of sweat formed on my forehead and palms.
My legs were shaking, and I had to struggle to maintain my balance.
Goddess! This was so embarrassing, and did he really have to play this out right in front of me and revel in the hundred shades of shame I was subjected to?
’Yes! That’s exactly what he meant. That’s what that cheeky smile meant.’ Nova rolled her eyes.
’And now this asshole Alpha was looking at me like a wolf ready to pounce and finish off its prey.’ I cursed Alpha.
My stupid moans continued to echo through his phone, and the amusement intensified on his face and in his eyes, as if they were both in some kind of fucking symbiosis.
I glared at him; any trace of a smile had long since vanished from my face as I told him irritably.
Alpha tilted his head slightly. The glass in Alpha’s hand continued to spin, and I wondered what he was up to.
“Then why did you send this to me? I think you were masturbating while thinking about me p>
Alpha clearly believed the world revolved around him.
“Like I said. It wasn’t for you, I don’t know how they even sent it to you.” Alpha turned the phone toward me, and I clearly saw that the message had been sent from my phone to his private messages.
I could only guess as I forwarded it to Sophia and, rolling over in my sleep, dropped the phone on my chest. My hand, or maybe my breast, did it, and the message accidentally reached him.
And now this insolent man decided I was masturbating while dreaming about him, either in reality or at night.
’What did we even call our nightly daydreams?’ I rolled my eyes.
’Not worth thinking about now.’ Nova, too, rolled her eyes.
To my utter relief, Alpha Kane pressed the button and stopped my embarrassing voice message. I’d never regretted sending an inappropriate voice message as much as I did now.
“Not for me?” Alpha asked, amusement evident in his voice. “Tell me, Zara. Are you cheating on me p>
I exhaled furiously and felt my entire face flush.
It definitely reminded me of the strawberries I loved so much.
“You need to delete this. It’s a private message, and according to my contract, I’m not obligated to tell you anything about my personal life. It’s none of your business who I’m dating or I didn’t want to say “damn” in front of him. After all, he was still my Alpha boss, so I tried my best to shut my big mouth.
Alpha Kane raised his right eyebrow at my answer, a hint of amusement at my awkwardness still flickering across his face.
“And what we did Saturday night you liked it most?” Alpha asked shamelessly, clearly interested in my personal life.
“As I’ve said before, and I’ll say it again, with all due respect.” I snorted, emphasizing every word.
’IT’S NONE OF YOUR CONCERN FUCKING ALPHA. GET OUT.’ I wanted to say this to asshole Alpha but I again shut my big mouth.
I knew that even if I deleted the message on my end, it was already downloaded to Alpha’s phone, and until he wanted it, it would remain.
“Gladly, Zara, if you follow my orders today without rolling your eyes or cracking jokes or complaining. Like a good secretary. You said last time on the phone that you know how to follow orders. It’s time to prove it p>
I knew it irritated him when I refused to listen, and for the past few days, Alpha’d noticed me openly ignoring him and following his orders with eye rolls and muttering under my breath.
Now he had the upper hand; Alpha had that awkward voice memo of mine, and I’d never hear it again.
“I don’t think you can handle this, Zara. I’ll just delete it out of mercy. You don’t trust me enough to let yourself open up,” Alpha Kane added, shrugging his broad shoulders.
I knew Alpha was testing me again. This was definitely turning into a game between us. I could blackmail him with this photo, but I’d save it for another time.
’We’ll see what our overbearing Alpha boss has in store for us.’ Nova rolled her eyes.
I certainly didn’t need Alpha’s charity. I trusted him deeply, knowing he’d never hurt me. But playing with me that was something I’d certainly foreseen.
Deep down, I was intrigued and wanted to simply unleash this control and see what he had planned for me.
“No charity. Since I sent this, I’ll earn the right to make you delete it. I’ll do it. Whatever you want, without rolling my eyes or saying a word.” I gave in, and my grin widened tenfold when Alpha ordered in his guttural voice.

It wouldn’t be a lie to say I had the upper hand today and that I’d enjoy playing with her. I think I need some relief from the problems that are going on in my packs.
She blushed at least ten shades of red when I played her voice note, and I could feel her barely restraining herself from lashing out at me.
Surprisingly, she didn’t even realize she’d sent me that message at that point.
Unsurprisingly, she told me to delete the voice note, so I decided to challenge her; knowing her rebellious spirit, I knew she’d never back down.
