My breath caught in my throat, and the ache between my legs grew worse with each passing second. Only he could fix this. To hell with the consequences, I’d think about them later.
“Can’t we just help each other relax?” Hearing my words, Alpha Kane’s hands left my wrists and crept up to my face, embracing it like a precious rose.
“Of course we can, I just didn’t want you to be tormented by doubt. Besides, I’m sure I can handle this better than your lover, who left you hanging last time.” Alpha Kane finally winked at me, and I would have shaken my head if he hadn’t held my face hostage.
“Let’s try,” I challenged.
“We’ll go slow; it’s painful, so don’t tense up, and keep your hands above your head. Don’t move them. Deal?” Alpha Kane groaned, heightening my desire. My legs became terribly restless.
“Deal,” I answered quickly, and Alpha Kane heard the urgency in my voice.
“Stay like this, Zara.” Alpha Kane rose from me and climbed off the bed, leaving me vulnerable and defenseless.
Fear and cold gripped me, digging into my skin. I wanted his warmth back, and my desperate eyes followed him.
Using the sensors in his hands, Alpha Kane turned off the light and raised the skylight, revealing the night sky in my room, where the stars twinkled and the moon looked down on me.
Now the only light came from above and the faint glow of the aquarium. I was still looking at the sky when I felt him rise back up, his hands on the waistband of my pants.
I found Alpha with my gaze as he knelt above me, like a predator ready to pounce, and I gave myself completely to him.
“Take it off,” I said, my words filled with insatiable desire.

Her legs lost all strength and slid off my waist, her breasts deflated, and my Blue Rose fell to the mattress, a picture of seduction, painted with my colors.
She giggled slowly, as if satisfied with having driven me to the brink of explosion.

My hand found her face and pressed it to my skin, remembering that I needed to apply medicine to her wounds and wash her. I carefully moved her to the mattress so I could wash my hands and clean up the mess first.
When I returned, Zara was curled up in a ball and fast asleep. I found the tube, unscrewed it, and held it to her shoulder, where angry red lines glared at me mockingly.
My blood immediately boiled at the sight of the ugly marks on her flawless skin. I gently applied the medicine to her bruises while she purred under my touch.
“Let me wash you, and you can sleep peacefully.” Her eyes slowly opened, and she found me.
“Stay with me, I don’t want to be alone she begged, a serious and frightened glint in her usually bold eyes.
“I’m here, don’t worry.” I put my hand to her face, and she closed her eyes again.

“We’re skipping training today,” Alpha Kane croaked, turning toward the stairs.
“What?” I frowned. “Why p>
I used to enjoy training. Well, when I wasn’t paired with Alpha Kane. Now I train two days a week.
“There are four Alphas from neighboring packs here today, plus Luna from another pack.” Alpha Kane turned to me. “You’re meeting them with me p>
“Me?” I forced out. I didn’t have any business meetings with the Alphas; that was his job. “Just have Beta babysit me or something p>
I grumbled the last part, clearly tired of being watched.
“No,” Alpha Kane’s voice was harsh, his gaze piercing me. “I’ll just keep an eye on you. I don’t trust anyone else p>
“Too paranoid?” I rolled my eyes. “No one’s going to attack me p>
“Let me rephrase that,” Alpha Kane smirked, standing just inches away. “I think you’d run if someone was watching, but you can’t escape me p>
“We’ll see,” Nova grumbled.
“So who’s dying now?” I chuckled.
“I don’t believe he’ll kill us anymore.” Nova shrugged. “If anything, his punishments are worth it p>
“You can say that again,” I nodded, agreeing with my wolf.
“Never,” I chuckled, pressing my hand to my heart.
Alpha Kane’s raspy scent swirled around me, mingling with the fresh scent of his cologne. It took all my willpower not to lunge at him in the middle of the hallway.
Alpha Kane smirked but said nothing. “Alpha Zeke is my friend. Alpha Bran is an insufferable jerk. And Luna is here on behalf of her pack. Alpha John is also my business partner, and the last one, Alpha Black, is also here with his sincerity,” Alpha Kane informed me.
