title = Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! Chapter N
Captain Briggs’s face darkened.
He shot a look at the convulsing inspector on the ground.
It was true.
From beginning to end, The Panacea hadn’t made a single aggressive move toward the man.
The idiot had picked up the vials himself.
But the way he went down was too bizarre.
It was so bizarre that none of them could even comprehend how she had delivered the poison.
Serena’s lips curved into a glacial sneer. “Besides, even if I did do something, he’s the one who overstepped and touched my property p>
She lifted her chin, her pale, sickly face devoid of fear. “If Project Zero-Transit believes I broke the rules, feel free to execute me right here p>
Dead silence blanketed the corridor.
Nobody dared to make the first move.
First, because of her identity.
Second, because they still had absolutely no idea how she pulled it off.
They didn’t even know what toxin was tearing through the inspector’s veins. Her methods were too stealthy, too lethal.
If they opened fire, and she had something even deadlier rigged to that case, everyone in this sector would end up as collateral damage.
For a long moment, the standoff held.
The inspector on the ground, however, was losing his mind.
He finally realized he hadn’t provoked some defenseless woman traveling alone.
He had provoked a monster who could make him beg for death.
Clawing at his own throat, he agonizingly dragged his body toward Serena’s boots.
His nails scraped against the steel floor, producing a sickening, high-pitched screech.
“The… the antidote p>
His voice was a ruined, guttural wheeze, his face turning such a violent shade of purple it looked like his head might explode. “Please… save me p>
“I was wrong. I was so wrong p>
“Give me the antidote. I’m begging you, please save me p>
Serena looked down at him, her eyes completely devoid of pity. “You want the antidote p>
The inspector nodded frantically,
tears and snot smearing across his face. He looked nothing like
arrogant extortionist from two minutes ago.
“One hundred million dollars,” Serena said flatly.
The inspector froze instantly.
The surrounding guards stared at her in disbelief.
One hundred million dollars?
For a single dose of an antidote?
This wasn’t a medical fee; it was highway robbery.
The inspector’s purple lips trembled. “I… I don’t have that kind of money p>
How could he possibly afford a hundred million dollars?
If he had that kind of cash, he wouldn’t be shaking down passengers for drug samples!
sne
He curled into a tight ball, the agony tearing through him in brutal waves. His voice fractured into breathless.
Sobs Please just sprea
oveme first.
“I beg you, fix me… I’ll pay you back, I swear, I will p>
The mockery in Serena’s eyes deepened. “I run a strict business. Money upfront, goods delivered p>
She tapped her fingers lightly against the med-vault. “No credit p>
The inspector suffered a complete psychological collapse. “Please! Please! I’m
going to die! I’m actually going to die p>
“The Panacea, save me! Help me p>
Just then.
The sound of composed footsteps echoed from deeper within The Med-Tech Quarantine.
The wall of armed guards automatically parted to clear a path.
A middle-aged man in silver-rimmed glasses walked through.
He wore an immaculately tailored gray suit and a practiced, polite smile on his face.
But behind the lenses, his eyes were frigid and utterly hollow.
He cast a brief glance at the screaming inspector on the floor, then turned his gaze to Serena.
One look was all it took for him to assess the entire situation.
He bowed his head slightly. “The Panacea, I apologize. It appears my staff forgot
their manners and offended you p>
His tone
borderias courteous, his posture
bordering on reverent. “Your private suite within the quarantine is
ready.

Taking the cue, Captain Briggs and his men immediately lowered their rifles.
