title = Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! Chapter N
The eight mercenaries instantly hardened their expressions and replied in unison, “Understood p>
Jerrick pulled up the new schematic the crew had just transmitted, tapping his finger against a few newly highlighted red corridors.
“On top of your standard patrol duties, memorize these new security vectors. Note which doors have been unexpectedly locked, which zones have reinforced manpower, and log every single person entering or exiting the specialized medical wing p>
The mercenaries exchanged a quick glance, immediately grasping Fenris’s true objective.
These men were Jerrick’s most trusted confidants.
They didn’t ask questions; they executed orders. “Copy that p>
The eight men quickly dispersed.
They maintained their two-man formations.
On the surface, they were flawlessly executing the crew’s new patrol mandates.
In reality, they were already quietly mapping out every single security shift in the lower-mid levels.
Jerrick stood alone at the end of the corridor, his gaze fixed in the direction of The Sanctum Vault.
On the freshly updated map, three new red quarantine lines had been drawn around the vault’s perimeter.
And the specialized medical wing was perfectly sandwiched between The Med-Tech Quarantine and the outer shell of the vault.
The commotion emanating from that sector earlier had been significant.
Even stationed this far out on the perimeter patrol, they had felt the faint tremors through the floorboards.
Immediately after, the crew escalated the threat level across the entire lower deck.
The Merchant’s Quarter had also suspended the special cargo preview.
And now, even the corridor outside the medical wing had been abruptly handed over to his Fenris Squad.
It wasn’t hard to connect the dots.
The batch of Semi-Finished Assets Grandpa Grant had warned them about must have suffered a catastrophic failure.
And a severe one at that.
But because of this disaster, his squad had been strategically repositioned right outside the medical wing.
Which meant he was now dangerously close to the target.
He had been waiting for a plausible excuse to close the distance.
He hadn’t expected the opportunity to drop right into his lap.
As long as he held this position, he would uncover vital intelligence.
And the perfect opening would present itself.
He stepped forward, making his way toward the corridor of the specialized medical wing.
The Predator’s Den.
To the scum gathered in this sector,
The suspension of the preview meant absolutely nothing compared to the outrage in The Merchant’s Quarter.
Their minds were entirely consumed by The Hundred-Trillion Bounty plastered across The Obsidian Dark Web.
“I’ve run through the identities of every female passenger on this godforsaken ship.” A bounty hunter in a black hood cursed in frustration. The name Setena Lancaster isn’t anywhere p>
They had burned through every illicit channel available, yet had found zero trace of her.
“Is it possible the bitch never even
.nét
boarded someone voiced the growing doubt. “We’ve been bunting.. for hours and haven’t caughta” single scent p>
“Idiot,” another hunter sneered immediately. “If The Raven pinned the bounty location on Project Zero-Transit, then she’s here p>
“Nobody uses their real name on this ship. She’s obviously operating under an alias p>
“There are hundreds of fake identities on board. How the hell are we supposed to track her?” someone snarled impatiently.
“What, are we supposed to just slaughter every woman on the ship p>
Astonishingly, someone actually
seemed to consider the idea. “I
mean, it’s not the worst plan, but
there are too many
women. Kuling
them one by one would take
forever p>
