title = Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! Chapter N
“Who cares if the crew treats her like a VIP p>
“We’re in international waters. As long as we make it clean, who’s going to know it was us p>
As the words flowed, the looks exchanged between the hunters turned dark and predatory.
It was obvious the seeds of ambition had already been planted.
Jasper Lancaster leaned lazily against the railing, looking utterly unbothered.
The silver smiling mask looked exceptionally eerie under the dim, flickering lights.
He smirked faintly, casually listening to these degenerates plot over his sister’s bounty.
The wider his smile grew, the more violently his bloodlust spiked.
Then, he listened as they pivoted the conversation toward The Panacea and her payout.
The Panacea.
He had heard his oldest brother mention that name over dinner.
She was supposedly one of Hazel Carring’s contacts.
Or, more accurately, she was the inside agent his sister had asked Hazel to plant on Project Zero-Transit.
Which meant she was a friend of his sister.
Beneath his smiling mask, Jasper’s lips slowly curved upward.
He had been trying to figure out how to get close to that batch of Semi-Finished Assets without exposing his identity as The Grinning Wraith.
Now, a perfect path had just opened up.
If The Panacea had access to the special cargo, she was highly valuable.
He could find a way to arrange a meeting with her.
He could use his connection as Serena’s brother to establish trust, then ask her to look into what exactly was locked inside that vault.
That wasn’t asking too much, right?
After all, wasn’t she on this ship to help his sister?
Now that he had taken over his sister’s workload.
It was only natural that she would do him a small favor, right?
Jasper pondered this for a moment, then shifted his gaze to Shade, a tall, gaunt hunter standing beside him who practically blended into the shadows.
He was one of the five operatives Jasper had brought along, an absolute master at tracking and espionage.
“Go find out exactly what went wrong with the special cargo p>
“And track down which sector The Panacea is currently stationed in. See if you can set up a meeting between us p>
Shade didn’t ask questions. He lowered his head. “Understood p>
A split second later, his figure melted silently into the crowd.
Jasper leaned back against the railing.
He smiled pleasantly at the group thugs nearby, who were still
salivating over the parace el.ne
money and medical kit.
The painted smile on his mask was exaggerated and cartoonish, but the eyes behind it were chillingly dead.
His sister’s friend was, naturally, one of his own.
If these idiots were just blowing hot air, he couldn’t be bothered to intervene.
But… if anyone actually made a move to rob her of her cash or her medical kit p>
Well, he wouldn’t mind doing a little spring cleaning while he was here.
The VIP Suite, peak luxury tier of The Merchant’s Quarter.
Total silence reigned inside Nicholas Blackwood’s private suite.
He lounged lazily on the sofa, the collar of his black dress shirt slightly unbuttoned,
his posture loose and relaxed.
A notification flashed across his premium VIP terminal screen.
[Due to equipment failure, the special cargo preview has been suspended p>
[A reopening time will be announced shortly p>
[Pre-registered buyers will not lose their priority status p>
The man’s striking, predatory eyes narrowed slightly.
The crew had been moments away from opening the doors; halting it now was a massive disruption.
It was absolutely not a mere equipment failure.
It seemed the special cargo had suffered a critical malfunction.
And the issue was severe enough that the crew couldn’t allow the buyers to inspect the goods.

Nicholas tapped his long, elegant fingers against the table, his cold aristocratic features betraying very little émotion, content
Grandpa Grant had mentioned that the core cargo being transported by Project Zero-Transit was highly likely the batch of replicable
Semi-Finished Assets engineered by the organization.
The fact that they were semi-finished meant the experiment was highly unstable.
It wasn’t at all surprising that something had gone violently wrong during transit.
The crew suspending the preview was almost certainly a desperate scramble to stabilize the asset’s condition.
