“Since Cody wants to bribe you, we can use this to our advantage,” Rupert suddenly said.
“What do you mean?” Finley asked in confusion.
“Agree to his request and make him think that he has succeeded. As soon as he lets his guard down, we can seize the opportunity to collect evidence,” Annabel explained.
Seeing that Rupert and Annabel were on the exact same page, Finley’s eyes darted between them excitedly. It seemed as though the heavy burden that had been weighing him down over the past few days was suddenly lifted.
Rupert gave Finley specific instructions, and the latter took notes.
“I’ll head back first to avoid arousing Cody’s suspicion.” Finley raised his hand and checked his watch. He had been away for too long.
