Annabel refused to hide like a coward. If she continued her life normally, then when her enemy made a move, she would be ready to catch them.
“Can’t you have someone replace you?” Rupert asked with a frown. He was worried for her safety—and he also hated the idea of leaving her alone with Rory.

Seeing how determined she was, Rupert’s expression darkened.
Was she insisting because she didn’t want to delay the production?
Or because she was too eager to be with Rory?
Although Annabel only had a supporting role, she still had several intimate scenes with Rory. Thinking about that made Rupert’s mood sink even further.
It was obvious Rory had feelings for Annabel. Even though Annabel had made it clear she didn’t return them, Rupert was still jealous.
“Well, it’s getting late. You should go to work now,” Annabel said as she stood up, urging him to leave. She couldn’t stand the expression on his face any longer.
“I’ll stay at home with you,” Rupert replied firmly, refusing to move. He was truly worried about her and wanted to stay by her side at all times.
I’m fine now. The ointment made me feel much better.” She pretended to be angry and insisted, “If you don’t leave now, I’ll drive you away p>
“Alright, I’ll go. Stay home and get plenty of rest, okay p>
“Got it.” Annabel nodded as she pushed him out of the room.
Not long after Rupert left for the company, someone knocked on Annabel’s door. She stared at it in confusion, wondering if Rupert had forgotten something and come back.
While she was thinking, she heard Danica’s voice. “Miss Hewitt p>
Realizing who it was, Annabel hurried to open the door. Danica stood there holding a tray filled with fruit, coffee, pastries, and several light dishes.
“What’s this?” Annabel asked, stunned by the generous breakfast in front of her.

Danica placed the tray on the table in the bedroom and smiled.
“Mr. Benton asked me to prepare breakfast for you. He said you should eat light food since you’re still recovering from the allergic reaction. He personally instructed me to make these. Miss Hewitt, please try them and see if you like them p>
Rupert had asked Danica to cook for her?
Annabel’s heart softened. “Thank you. I really appreciate it p>
“Mr. Benton said you need plenty of rest to recover quickly. I won’t disturb you. Call me if you need anything.” Danica gave her a warm smile.
She had never seen Mr. Benton so anxious or concerned about anyone.
Miss Hewitt was the first and only one to receive that kind of attention from Rupert. When Annabel had moved out, Rupert had worn a constant gloomy expression and the whole house felt heavy.
Now that she had moved back in, Rupert seemed lively again.
Danica had watched Rupert grow up, and she truly hoped he would find a woman he loved and who loved him back, someone he could build a happy life with.
