“Are you sure?” Heather asked sharply, lifting her brows in suspicion.
“Yes.” Bella nodded. “I contacted Ling—a very famous hacker—and asked him to break into Star Entertainment’s internal network. Once that’s done, something will definitely be played at the opening ceremony. I just don’t know exactly what video they’ll release p>
Heather’s expression eased. She nodded, satisfied. “Good. Then I’ll leave it to you. No matter what, I want to see Annabel humiliated p>
After Heather left, Bella called Ling. “You know what I asked you to do, right p>
“Yes.” The voice on the other end sounded strange, as if it had been altered by a voice changer. “I’m working on it now p>
“Good. If you succeed, you’ll be paid generously. But there’s one more thing p>
In the apartment, with the opening ceremony approaching, Annabel was about to review the videos scheduled to be played the next day. But the moment she opened the site, a stream of chaotic code flashed across the screen.
The prepared videos had been tampered with.
Annabel took a deep breath, her brows knitting slightly. The hacker’s code was indeed complex, but to her, it was nothing.
Still, she had no intention of fixing it herself.
She knew there were plenty of people who disliked her and wanted her to embarrass herself at tomorrow’s opening ceremony… but only a handful would go as far as to hire a hacker.
Leaning back in her chair, Annabel rubbed the bridge of her nose, closed the video page, and dialed Anthony’s number.

“Ada, what can I do for you?” Anthony answered.
“Our company’s internal network has been breached,” Annabel said calmly. “The videos for tomorrow’s opening ceremony have been completely messed up p>
Anthony froze. “How could that happen? But you can crack it easily, can’t you? Or is there something you want me to do p>
“I can fix the garbled code,” Annabel replied, “but not right now. Find out who did it. I want an answer before twelve o’clock so I can make preparations p>
“Okay. Got it,” Anthony said without hesitation.
After ending the call, Anthony immediately got to work at his computer, his slender fingers flying across the keyboard.
He frowned when he saw the stream of code and flashing red warning signs on Star Entertainment’s internal site. He opened several of the video and information pages at random, only to find black screens and taunting, ugly faces. It was an unmistakable threat.
Anthony quickly wrote a series of programs and located the virus’s source code. Deciphering the malware would take time, but he was confident he could identify the person behind it.
No matter how skilled the hacker was, Anthony still managed to trace him.
