“The most important thing for you right now is to take good care of yourself and the baby. You have no idea how scared I was when I found out you were taken into the operating room that day,” Annabel said, holding Anika’s hand. Her eyes were full of concern.
Anika nodded. “Okay, I understand. By the way, your engagement ceremony with Rupert is next month. How’s the planning going p>
“Almost done. There are still a few details that need attention, so it might take a few more days.” Annabel smiled. “Bruce has already made a guest list. You and Marcel have to be there p>
“Of course,” Marcel replied with a grin. “Anika and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. I need to take notes from your ceremony p>
“What are you talking about?” Anika gave him an amused look, and Annabel immediately chimed in, laughing with her. The three of them chatted easily, the mood warm and relaxed.
When Annabel realized it was nearly noon, she knew it was time to leave the Brooks family home. Katie insisted she stay for lunch, but Annabel politely declined.
“I’m sorry, I have something to handle at the office. You two enjoy lunch. Next time, I’ll stay p>
As she stepped outside, she noticed a white Porsche parked near the entrance. It was Hooper’s car. He was waiting by the door. The moment he saw her, he walked over with a smile.
“Miss Hewitt, what a coincidence p>
“I don’t think this is a coincidence.” Annabel paused, put on a polite smile, and met his gaze. “You’ve been waiting here for a while, haven’t you? I’m a straightforward person, so just tell me why you’re here p>
Hooper grinned, completely unbothered. “Alright, I’ll admit it. I have been waiting.” He gestured lightly as he spoke. “I just wanted to ask how you feel about our collaboration, Miss Hewitt. Also, it’s lunchtime—have you eaten yet? How about we find a restaurant and talk while we eat p>
“Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Norman, but I don’t think it’s necessary.” Annabel declined politely. She wasn’t used to Hooper’s sudden attention, and it made her uneasy.
Hooper, however, wasn’t ready to give up. “Please don’t refuse so quickly, Miss Hewitt. Accept my invitation to lunch. After all, we’re reaching out to Star Entertainment for this collaboration. Let’s be friends. What do you say p>

Hooper smiled and opened the back door for her, inviting her into the car.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at a well-known private restaurant in Douburgh. As Annabel and Hooper stepped inside, the waiter greeted Hooper with respectful familiarity and led them to a private table by the window. Hooper gestured, and the waiter brought the menu over.
