“They’re all the most popular dishes,” Annabel said with a smile as she turned to Margo. “It seems you really know your food p>
Margo pursed her lips and muttered, “I used to eat here a lot, so I know what to order p>
Hearing that, Sherman lifted his gaze and said, “I see. So Miss Perez comes here for meals quite often p>
Embarrassed, Margo scratched her cheek. “We used to film around here. I often sneaked out for midnight snacks p>
“Didn’t they say all female celebrities are concerned about their weight?” Sherman asked. “It seems Miss Perez is different p>
“Of course I’m concerned about my weight,” Margo replied, “but I believe the real enemy of weight loss is a lack of self-control p>
Sherman wasn’t nearly as stern as Margo had assumed, and she slowly relaxed. It was a relief—after all, she still had to enjoy all the delicious food they’d ordered.

Margo blinked, confused.
Sherman ignored her confusion and abruptly changed the topic. “Ms. Hewitt told me Miss Perez seems very interested in this role p>
Margo’s expression turned serious. She reined in her smile and nodded sincerely.
“Why?” Sherman asked. “Is it because you believe my movie can help rehabilitate your reputation p>
His words struck the truth head-on. Margo didn’t dodge it. “Yes p>

“This is my first time meeting someone as straightforward as Miss Perez,” Sherman said matter-of-factly.

She wasn’t foolish. She understood why Sherman had chosen to meet at a food stall. But no matter who she was facing, the only thing Margo could do was be honest.
She was perfectly capable of putting on a hypocritical front, but she didn’t want to.
“You should also know there are some very negative opinions about me online, which is why I’m interested in this role,” Margo said firmly. “But that’s only part of it. As an actress, I should take on different roles instead of locking myself into the same type. I want new challenges and new opportunities p>

Margo glanced at Annabel, but Annabel said nothing.
It never occurred to Margo that Sherman could be so talkative. Before she knew it, the conversation drifted away from the role and the script to the dishes on the table. Sherman was clearly a foodie.
As Sherman deftly steered the conversation toward food, Margo found herself fully absorbed in the meal, grateful for the break from anything work-related. For once, she could relax.
