“Who gave you the contract?” Annabel asked, searching for details. “Do you remember what he looked like p>
She still couldn’t believe any of her employees would offer such a disgraceful deal for good work. Or had someone pretended to be a representative of Star Entertainment and deceived this innocent girl?
“He said he was the director of the Music Department at Star Entertainment,” Miriam recalled carefully. “He looked like he was in his thirties p>
“Do you know his name?” Annabel asked. Every department in her company had multiple directors.

“When I first gave my demos to that director, he told me to wait and left the room,” Miriam said, watching Annabel closely the whole time. “I waited forever, but he never came back. So I tried to go to the CEO’s office to get answers p>

“Margo, what is going on?” Margo asked, more confused than ever.
She had listened the entire time, but she still couldn’t piece it together. Were scammers operating through the company again?
Annabel pinched the bridge of her nose. “How about this, Miriam? I’ll take you to the company tomorrow myself. If you see that director again, do you think you can recognize him p>
She already had a plan. This was exactly the kind of scandal her company could not afford right now.
And if she hadn’t come to the bar tonight, she never would have found out this was happening right under her nose.
“I don’t believe you,” Miriam muttered. “Your company tricked me once. I won’t be fooled again p>
