Gianna’s face turned red, then went pale almost immediately.
The humiliation hit her so hard that she nearly stopped breathing.
She glared at Pepper, her eyes full of shame and resentment.
Right now, she blamed Pepper for everything.
If Pepper had not pretended to be Mary, and if she had not been careless enough to get caught by Anneliese and Jonathan, Gianna would not be standing here, humiliated in front of everyone.
Worse, Pepper had failed at every step.
She had promised to take care of Jessica’s baby. After Jessica was sent overseas, Pepper had even promised that Jessica herself could be quietly made to disappear.

Jessica had met the fake Mary alone.
