How could she explain that last year Jessica had overheard that she and Zacharias had never been intimate, decided Zacharias must be incapable, and then looked into the topic just to tell her?

Anneliese felt touched by Penelope’s thoughtfulness.
She followed the servant upstairs to a room.
“The room was prepared in a rush. If you need anything, just call me anytime p>
Anneliese thanked her. After the maid left, she pushed open the door. What she saw left her stunned.
Rose petals covered the floor, bright red bedding was spread over a huge bed with heart- shaped balloons floating above it, and vases of roses filled the nightstand.
On the dresser was a row of fake candles. On the bed sat a pair of cute bride and groom dolls.
Anneliese felt like she had stepped into a wedding venue.
She quickly closed the door and turned to leave, but bumped right into a firm chest with a thud. She held her forehead, groaning.
“Did that hurt? Let me see.” Jonathan’s worried voice came as he bent down and pulled her hand away. When he saw the faint mark on her pale forehead, his brows drew together.
How is she so delicate?
“I’m fine.” Anneliese quickly waved her hand. “Are you done with work already p>
“You don’t seem happy to see me here.” His eyes narrowed a little as her reaction felt odd. “How could I not be?” She laughed. “Why are you standing here? Go inside and rest p>
He didn’t push further and reached for the door handle.
