Her scent.
His fingers curled tighter around it.
The piece itself was simple-rosewood threading, carefully bound, a delicate charm resting at its center. It reminded him of her in a way that made something dark twist inside his chest. Nothing grand or extravagant. Just hers.
Just like the things he used to give her before.
His gaze dropped to the charm.
A crescent moon diamond. An unmistakably part of a pair.
Something meant to be shared. Worn by two.

“So the other one…” he murmured, voice low, rough with something far from sane, “must be hanging around that Moonclaw bastard’s wrist by now p>

The door opened behind him.
“You called for me, Alpha?” Azrel stepped inside, his posture respectful, though his gaze flickered briefly-uneasy-at the sight before him.
Moonlight spilled through the tall windows, casting pale silver across the room.

“I have a task for you,” Rowan said, not looking up, his attention still fixed on the bracelet.
