Tiara and Damon had already returned to his family’s estate within Moonclaw territory when, early that morning, a formal letter arrived.
The moment Tiara recognized the elegant Luna seal pressed into the parchment, excitement lit her face. She hurried to her sitting room and unfolded the letter beneath the warm morning sunlight streaming through the windows.
Before she had even finished reading the first page, a delighted squeal escaped her lips.
Several nearby maids nearly jumped in surprise.
“Lylah is going on a vacation with Alpha Ezra p>
Her excitement only grew as her eyes raced down the page. “Oh, Goddess… she says I can come too p>
The maids exchanged amused smiles while Tiara hurriedly continued reading. Then her expression softened.
‘Ezra apologized for his sudden departure from the penthouse a few days ago. He regrets causing concern and frightening everyone.
A guilty ache immediately settled in Tiara’s chest.
“Alpha Ezra shouldn’t be apologizing at all,” she murmured. If anyone owed an apology, it was her. The more she remembered that evening, the more embarrassed she felt.
Perhaps this trip would give her the chance to apologize properly. Already imagining the journey, Tiara hurried toward her wardrobe and began sorting through clothes. She was so distracted that she failed to notice the shadow standing outside the doorway.
Failed to notice the sharp ears that had heard every word.
The door suddenly swung open.
Damon stepped inside.
His expression immediately made her pause. The Beta’s scent carried unmistakable displeasure.
Tiara slowly lowered the dress she was holding.

The admission emerged rougher than intended.
“Tell me honestly.” His eyes locked onto hers. “What exactly am I missing p>
She opened her mouth.
He continued before she could answer.
“What have I not given you since we’re together?” There was frustration in his voice now. “This estate, your comfort, the best healers, the best food-everything you could need. I always make sure you’re happy p>
The possessive instincts of a Beta wolf bled into every word.
“Still, whenever you’re with Luna Lylah, you smile differently.” Pain flashed across his features.
Even Tiara was surprised.
Since when had Damon cared about something like that?
He had always made certain she and the pup growing inside her were protected and provided for. Every comfort had been placed within her reach before she could even ask for it.
Yet somewhere between duty and affection, something had quietly slipped through the cracks.
And despite being surrounded by luxury and constant care now, a small part of Tiara had begun to feel strangely alone.
