“Ezra, please.” Her voice was soft enough that only her mate could hear. “Don’t kill Seraphina p>
Her fingers tightened around his arm. “She was wrong. What she did was reckless, and she deserves punishment. But punishment is enough. There’s no need to take her life too p>
Long silence followed.
Lylah’s heartbeat quickened.
She could feel the wolf beneath Ezra’s skin. Feel the fury that still lingered there. For a brief moment. Lylah feared he had already made his decision, and not even she could sway him.
Then Ezra spoke.

The senior healers lowered their heads.

A shudder ran through Seraphina.
She understood immediately.
There would be no further negotiation.
No bargaining.
No mercy beyond what had already been granted.
Slowly, she lowered her head, her shoulders sagged beneath the weight of reality. The future she had spent years building was gone. And unlike before, there was no powerful relative, no family influence, and/no convenient excuse left to save her.
Only consequences.
“Thank you for the mercy, Alpha.” Her voice barely rose above a whisper.
Several volunteers who had once considered Seraphina a close friend openly wiped tears from their faces.
Regardless of what she had done, many had studied beside her for years.
Watching her fall was not easy.

The following morning, Lunaris enforcers arrived.

By midday, another departure followed.
